Jack [DF] Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 The first two didn't actually have any singles, but I'm putting my choices anyway. Guest MadeInRatCity Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 they have released singles which were catchy and also some non-green day-ish type back then.

PanicAttack! Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 I don't think anybody here feels like they are "smarter" than the people at the label. I see this as a fun thread, not a thread criticizing the singles. Yeah, I know, but it's taken from the fact that nobody's usually satisfied with the singles chosen. There's always a majority who complains,

DannyDirnt Posted October 7, 2012 Author Posted October 7, 2012 Yeah, I know, but it's taken from the fact that nobody's usually satisfied with the singles chosen. There's always a majority who complains, Because they don't choose the best songs, but the most catchy/mainstream ones. If they had chosen the best from 21CB for example, the singles would have been EJN, Horseshoes and Handgrenades, Murder City and American Eulogy. The fan favorites.
PanicAttack! Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Because they don't choose the best songs, but the most catchy/mainstream ones. Both terms you use there are not definable. If they had released EJN and Murder City instead of 21CB and 21 Guns, the "fan favorites" had probably been those two. The thing is that "catchy" is not definable like that, and I don't really see where you can draw the line between what is mainstream and what is just a good song for alot of people, hardcore fans aswell as casual listeners.
