Justin Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 If Lady Cobra isnt a single they sure as hell missed a trick with that one
Sanity Loan Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mb87jyfhtS1rdyu6io1_250.gif You're one to talk
localinsomniac Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 I guess I'm the only one who doesn't think Fuck Time will be a single. I think it could be. But I'll keep my guesses to my damn self...
Australian1diot Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 With the whole speculation on the single being released for the 9th of October, it would seem to fit for a single, because of the albums all coming out on a Tuesday. But we might get the song on Monday to keep the same day when 'OH LOVE' was released, then get the digital download on Tuesday.
w00t932 Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 The song I'm most excited for on Dos (and the entire trilogy) is "Wow!That's Loud!". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rkzAQ7_ABzU That 30 second clip on its own is just pure energy and ear pleasure. I hope this becomes part of the live setlists for a long time
TheJedi Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 huh? why read this thread if you don't like it?
TheBrick Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 you will in about a month UGH! I know...so far away. But still excited
Whatsinaname Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 But where is the song called Little Boy Named Train? I was looking forward to a studio version. Maybe they renamed it?
Milo Goes To Pasalacqua Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Is Dos gonna have a special CD booklet version for preorder with artwork like Uno did? Cos i don't see where i can preorder that version anywheres.
BradGreenDay Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 if the song See You Tonight is not on the album it will most likely become a non album track on one of the singles like shoplifter, too much too soon or governator was to american idiot...
LMC Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 But where is the song called Little Boy Named Train? I was looking forward to a studio version. Maybe the renamed it? I think that on will be on Tré.
Whatsinaname Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 I think that on will be on Tré. Thanks, I sure hope it is!
Australian1diot Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 But where is the song called Little Boy Named Train? I was looking forward to a studio version. Maybe the renamed it? They probably re-named it to X-Kid, just a guess
KGLWW Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 They probably re-named it to X-Kid, just a guess I am pretty sure they are separate songs. X-Kid is about the transvestite and A boy named Train is about Billie's friend who committed suicide. Or it is the other way around not sure. But I know I have seen interviews where they talk about both. Both are on Tre supposedly.

localinsomniac Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 But where is the song called Little Boy Named Train? I was looking forward to a studio version. Maybe they renamed it? That one's supposed to be on ¡Tré!. I am pretty sure they are separate songs. X-Kid is about the transvestite and A boy named Train is about Billie's friend who committed suicide. KGLWW Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 M'kay thnks, didn't know Yeah no problem. It's other way around Thanks. I really wish they would have played at least one of the two at the bbc radio show. Don't think we have heard any studio versions from Tre. Except the Campaign clip of 99 Revolutions.
WrongWayToSalvation Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 I hope they release Nightlife as the first single, I want to see the public's reaction towards it Personall think the first single will either be Stop When The Red Lights Flash, Makeout Party, Lady Cobra, or Wow! That's Loud. I'm 99% sure the October single will be from iDos!
Florence Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 I'm 99% sure the October single will be from iDos! I agree. It wouldn't make sense to release a song off Uno! in Oct. I am pretty sure they are separate songs. X-Kid is about the transvestite and A boy named Train is about Billie's friend who committed suicide. Or it is the other way around not sure. But I know I have seen interviews where they talk about both. Both are on Tre supposedly. Like others have said it's the other way round. And "transvestite" isn't the right definition. The song is about someone who was born as a hermaphrodite: Tré! also has a song based on a person's life, which Armstrong was able to use for inspiration and reflexion: "Little Boy Named Train". Armstrong's son was a schoolmate in Berkeley with a boy who was being raised by two women. "One of the parents was born a hermaphrodite and [his parents] cut off the penis. His/her whole life, this person wanted to be acknowledged as a man. The parents wanted the child to not be identified as a boy or girl, and the child didn't really have a name - one week it's Tigger, another it's Train. Many years ago I wrote it down and I always wanted to write a song called "Little Boy Named Train" . It happened to someone else, but there's a part of me I was thinking about when I wrote it. There's a line: 'I'm always lost, I'll never change. Give me directions and I'm lost again.' Kind of autobiographical " http://www.greendaya...articles/163/5/
Annie, get your gun Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 Like others have said it's the other way round. And "transvestite" isn't the right definition. The song is about someone who was born as a hermaphrodite: I didn't know that...

I am pretty sure they are separate songs. X-Kid is about the transvestite and A boy named Train is about Billie's friend who committed suicide. Or it is the other way around not sure. But I know I have seen interviews where they talk about both. Both are on Tre supposedly. Actually, 'tis ok, found it. Thanks anyways.
Mellow Dramatic Jeff Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 Is the next single still coming out officially on October 9th? (I got the box set and that is what the email said) Just haven't heard anything official and it's less than a week away, thought it was strange.
Fuzz Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 I'm going to close this now that the track list has been announced. Use this thread to continue conversation about the next album http://www.greendayc...list-announced/
