Todd Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Oh no! I'm actually crying right now. Why would Billie resort to drugs at a time like this? He has a family and kids! The Armstrong curse must be back! :-( Rage and Love Billie, we love you and hope you get the help that you need, even if it takes half a year and we all miss our shows
blitzkriegdeb Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Jesus, hope he's ok. Such shocking news, I'm wondering now (hoping not) if maybe the incident in Bologna was drug related? Regardless, hope he gets any and all the help he needs.
Undómiel Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 I just don't wanna touch it cuz I'm afraid I'd end up like this (no offense Billie, hope you get well soon). Hmm. I respect your decision but not necessarily the logic! I like to swim, doesn't mean I won't do it in case I start to drown.
Hero_Of_The_Hour Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Let's just wish him well...all the people who left comments on his I.G. about how cool etc he was at iheart must be feeling pretty dumb right about now. Poor Billie, poor Mike and Tre
farley drexel hatcher Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 I believe that he is going just for drinking. Don't quote me on that, but i'm pretty sure it isn't drug related. I hope it's just drink but substance abuse doesn't sound good and it makes a lot of stuff add up.
Mary711 Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 But he could go for drinking too much, right? It doesn't have to be drugs?
EmmaCharlatan&Saints Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 If he wants to deal with substance abuse then good for him, I'm not saying he should do more drugs or drink more. All I am saying is this: The rant was fucking awesome. And if he was stoned off his balls, the rant was still fucking awesome. I remember a time when the media was constantly losing their shit over Eminem or Marilyn Manson. Artists don't do things that piss people off anymore, what's been in the news in the last few years? Lady Gaga swallowing a crucifix? The rant was funny, the fans enjoyed it, and there was no reason to give a half assed apology, that's all I'm saying. The apology is needed i think if he was stoned on weed fair enough but if its harder stuff then its a problem not awesome rant or no rant. In context now the performance comes across as a man on a slippery slope.
WestboundSign! Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 If that's really true, I'm glad he's getting help now.. Oh wow, that was shocking. Really.
BringMoreKnives Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 I'm shocked. I knew he drank alot, but I didn't know he had a problem with it until all this iheart radio shit started.
Jaddedkitten Posted September 23, 2012 Author Posted September 23, 2012 I don't care if they cancell every fucking thing, I just want him to get back to a healthy place.
1039SweetChildren Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 The rant was funny, the fans enjoyed it, and there was no reason to give a half assed apology, that's all I'm saying. There are plenty of reasons actually. Yes, the rant was funny and crazy for us, but it was unprofessional and quite frankly immature on Billie Joe's part. We all placed the blame on iHeart for supposedly cutting their set down but this article confirms that our assumptions were complete bullshit. We might say Green Day don't care about success but they are signed to a record label which contractually obligates them to act like professionals and maintain business relationships. Pissing off ClearChannel could fuck over a lot of things for the band. So yeah, apologizing was definitely necessary. I'm glad Billie is getting the help he needs so he can be a functional part of the band, because he crashed and burned Friday night and we can candy-coat it all we want, but it was a cry for help essentially.

Tubbie Head Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 I could care less if this means they cancel tour dates. I just want him to take care of himself and get the help he needs. This!
desecrator09 Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Hmm. I respect your decision but not necessarily the logic! I like to swim, doesn't mean I won't do it in case I start to drown. Hmm. I respect your decision but not necessarily the logic! I like to swim, doesn't mean I won't do it in case I start to drown. Bad comparison but I see where your coming from
momoluvGD Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 If this is true, then this is really stupid. If I went to this concert and they only played for 25 minutes because Usher or whoever ran over. I would be really mad. These tickets were expensive, people payed to see Green Day and they get cut off. His outburst was really no big deal. I understand it was a little outrageous, but I would probably do the same. People need to calm down. Rock stars smash their instruments all the time, and now it's a big deal? Lay off. He's an adult, he didn't hurt anyone, please, calm down.
Schlappy Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 oh man... for some reason i just never thought this would happen to billie joe
whatsername0000 Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 wow i cant believe it... i hope he gets better for himself and especially for his family. I never knew he had a big issue!
Nemo. Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 I can't believe that. i'm fucking sad, that really shocked me...
greendaygal89 Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 I knew there wasn't something quite right about billie recently :/ Really sad and shocked about it. But I'm sure he'll get all the hope he need. He has a lot of loving friends, family and fans to support him
Four. Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 I'm about to cry right now. Don't you guys fucking realise this could have potentially been much worse? Who cares about a few shows cancelled? If he had plowed on, we might now even have had any shows.
Todd Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 I hope Billie stops his hardcore partying. It really hurts me to worry about his health. He needs a sober streak. Your liver can only take so much dude. Celebrities cant cut in the doner line.
~ Walking Contradiction Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Such shocking news, I'm wondering now (hoping not) if maybe the incident in Bologna was drug related? this I'm so sad right now... I hope he gets all the help he needs
Undómiel Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 I wish they would say alcohol not "substance abuse"... it makes him sound like a complete junkie.
