jtdscape Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 I'm so happy for Billie's sake that this is happening. I would hate for something terrible to happen to him because of it.
Amanda Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 i somehow don't believe that all... My mate Charlie said he nose it's true.
Kaddi. Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Stroke the furry wall Billie... Funny how that film is on TV right now. On the news: Wow really? I was always glad Green Day were not one of those bands...
Undómiel Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Hey, what does that mean? I'm sorry English is not my first language but I see that this article drew lots of attention so... What exactly is going on? He's going to get help for a drug addiction of some sort. I'm so happy for Billie's sake that this is happening. I would hate for something terrible to happen to him because of it. Agreed. Hopefully he won't need to be there too long.
EmmaCharlatan&Saints Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Hello super-vague article... Yeah, no shit I don't think anyone here thought he was sober. Why don't we have any quotes? At the very least, this is some shoddy work.....and if the announcement really did come from the band's rep, I am wondering if it wasn't just PR dudes making PR promises to stem the backlash....except that there hasn't really been any. Most people seem to be applauding what Billie did. And cancelled appearances? Which ones? When? They were supposed to have several this week....would be nice to have little advance notice. Its breaking news therefore not all the info has been released yet. If their PR were worried they would just apologise not concoct a story of him going to rehab thats just a stupid thing to do.
desecrator09 Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 That's why I dont drink, it's a high risk low reward type of thing in my opinion.
~ Walking Contradiction Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 I still can't believe it, I mean...I hope it's nothing too serious
Undómiel Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 That's why I dont drink, it's a high risk low reward type of thing in my opinion. Drink's fine in moderation. Cocaine not so much.
Harry Potter. Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 He's going to get help for a drug addiction of some sort. Agreed. Hopefully he won't need to be there too long. Thanks! That sucks then! Wow, so it's drugs not drinking then. That's not... Good.
petros Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 He is going on treatment after his request right?
Four. Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Hey, what does that mean? I'm sorry English is not my first language but I see that this article drew lots of attention so... What exactly is going on? Billie's going to rehab for substance abuse.
Trotsky Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 You are worried about the apology at this point? seriously if Billie has a problem then get it treated dont worry about a freaking apology just cause it ruins the so called outburst. If he wants to deal with substance abuse then good for him, I'm not saying he should do more drugs or drink more. All I am saying is this: The rant was fucking awesome. And if he was stoned off his balls, the rant was still fucking awesome. I remember a time when the media was constantly losing their shit over Eminem or Marilyn Manson. Artists don't do things that piss people off anymore, what's been in the news in the last few years? Lady Gaga swallowing a crucifix? The rant was funny, the fans enjoyed it, and there was no reason to give a half assed apology, that's all I'm saying.
BringMoreKnives Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 I don't even know what to say right now.
jtdscape Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 I believe that he is going just for drinking. Don't quote me on that, but i'm pretty sure it isn't drug related.
desecrator09 Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Drink's fine in moderation. Cocaine not so much. Drink's fine in moderation. Cocaine not so much. I just don't wanna touch it cuz I'm afraid I'd end up like this (no offense Billie, hope you get well soon).
MidnightMuffin Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 I'm surprised. We're all proud of you for getting the help you need, though Billie.
norcalgreendayfan Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Well wishing Billie the best. I hope he gets the treatment he needs and he can overcome this.
EmmaCharlatan&Saints Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 That's why I dont drink, it's a high risk low reward type of thing in my opinion. Dont really drin myself. Only a bit occasionally never actually been drunk I just dont see the point but anyway.
Mary711 Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 I believe that he is going just for drinking. Don't quote me on that, but i'm pretty sure it isn't drug related. I thought about that, too.
joeysturkeyhead Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 ...So is this really true? Well, if it's not I still hope he cuts down on the drinking, don't want anything to happen to him:'(
Johnny. Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 i thought this would be a spam thread or something the title was just so unbelievable
Comrade Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 On the news: Wow really? I was always glad Green Day were not one of those bands... You're kidding right? Green Day have always been a band to hit the drugs and booze hard. What interests me is how he's going to be able to churn through a whole bunch of new material thats all about getting fucked up and partying when he's being hold not to, or if he'll slow it down at all. He must have been on this level for a while.
Four. Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 No wonder Amy Winehouse's death shook him up like that. I'm so happy he's getting help.
