TheBrick Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 I know this might have been said before but I really don't want to read over 20 pages of this topic so I am just going to say it anyway. Maybe he really does have a problem. I mean, we don't really know what goes on in his life. It will suck if they can't play at voodoo or any other show, and yes when I saw that they might have to cancel stuff I was upset because I spent a lot of money but...if he really does have a problem I want him to get better, not only for himself but for his family as well. And if this is just a lie so that their label won't look bad then I will be fucking pissed off. This is just all confusing anyway. Only time will tell us what is going on.
Hermione Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 What a nice tweet. I hope that calms some people down.
21stcenturyidiot Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 tweets from adrienne armstrong @mnnesotagirl ~~~ ❤ #idiotfamily #idiotarmy Sometimes we just need a moment to reset ourselves... Thanks for all the love & support #gdfamily Edit: already posted. Ah well. She's awesome At least she, Mike and Tre and most important Billie knows most of still love him
swallowyourpride Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Amongst all this madness, I guess we can all find some peace of mind in knowing that the fans care. 8 million notes. Wow.
A song for the lovers Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 He needs to rest. He's a 40 year old man charging around, doing shows, promotional stuff etc. He isn't 22 anymore. 40 is not that old.... What a nice tweet. I hope that calms some people down. It really did
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 That's a really sweet tweet from Adie and also the perfect reaction to all of it. Calm, not judging anyone of anything, clearly supporting her husband while also showing kindness to the fans.
Mandy_PunkRock Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 From Adrienne: @mnnesotagirl: Sometimes we just need a moment to reset ourselves... Thanks for all the love & support #gdfamily Adie is such a sweetheart, she always makes me feel better when she writes something like that
Undómiel Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Slightly odd that this is the most read piece of news on the BBC at the moment.
Lauren Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 I hope he's okay. The whole band wasn't drunk, as if they were partying together. It was just Billie who was so messed up he could barely sing or play. I really wonder if something upset him earlier to make him drink that much.
21stcenturyidiot Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Poison Ivy, do you post on digital spy? Poison_Ivy People swear. Though i don't like how they acted, Green Day are miles better than some of the other acts that were at the festival.... Rihanna for example Note: I fucking hate digitalspy, I despair even going on ultimateguitar, they hate GD when they're good. Helen Martin They're past their best...they sold out years ago and it's not really big or clever to swear like that. Bloke should get over himself and stop acting like a spoiled brat. Some gigging musicians that have been trying to break it for years would have killed for that minute and exposure...prat. performingmonk This is complete bull just to sell the new record. That outburst was planned, and even if it were real it wouldn't prompt a rehab stint for Billie Joe. He's made of stronger stuff than that. How are people GENUINELY this stupid?
Hanner Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 can we get a confirmation that the Fillmore show on Friday is postponed?
Justin Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 To be honest, the instagram pics he uplaoded over in Europe he looked like a dying man even when he put the ones up saying he was out of hospital better etc he looked so bad. He probably was taking stuff to ease the pain and keep going to meet the demand of all the work that needed doing. He needs to take some time out for a couple weeks, chill in bed, have an occasional surf.
Heather. Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Slightly odd that this is the most read piece of news on the BBC at the moment. I'm not seeing that. When I go to BBC there are other stories listed as most read. I wonder if it's regional? (Not such an important convo)
deanopeez Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Wow ... Just read.the whole thread. I dont really know what to say. I just hope Bj will be better soon... You might need rehab after reading through all of that. My gut feeling is that this is damage control. It's too closely timed with the blowup at iHeartRadio and the cancelled shows in Europe. I doubt Billie's spiraling out of control, but I also doubt he's living a healthy lifestyle right now. I'm going to hold off on my dramatic over-reactions, however, until there's some real news about which to over-react.
blitzkriegdeb Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Amongst all this madness, I guess we can all find some peace of mind in knowing that the fans care. 8 million notes. Wow. Hate to disappoint but that's one text post that has been changed almost like 800 times
Lauren Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 I can't help but thinking how I saw him last week, and he looked the happiest I've ever seen him. Goes to show you that a smile on the outside doesn't mean everything's fine on the inside. I know he's not dying, but I'm still worried. <3

Dirntbag Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 If this is serious, then the iHeart Radio thing was not the first incident. It's not easy for people to consent to rehab, he's probably being urged to by friends or family who have seen him use drugs or drinking excessively for problems. If he is committed, it might take a long time for him to recuperate. He needs support.
xburnoutx Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 From BBC News, just to make you guys feel slightly better with a nice mental image of him laughing - The organisers told Newsbeat that Green Day's set wasn't curtailed and afterwards Billie Joe was "pumped and laughing backstage".
pucky Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 I'm seeing a lot of people all over the internet saying that all this is prepared, that the Iheart festival was a "show" (not musical, but teatrical), that all this is viral publicity in order to promote the albums...I think this is even more disgusting than the "disappointed" thing.
deadair Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 can we get a confirmation that the Fillmore show on Friday is postponed? Go to about 4 or 5 tweets down on this page- https://twitter.com/LIVE105
Justin Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Don't say that! This forum's gone apeshit enough... Argghhh my bad, i mean he looked unwell
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 oh my god people who actually seriously say it's just for publicity really need to go away and fly to neptune or something
Tommy's Tonsils Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 I'm seeing a lot of people all over the internet saying that all this is prepared, that the Iheart festival was a "show" (not musical, but teatrical), that all this is viral publicity in order to promote the albums...I think this is even more disgusting than the "disappointed" thing. I find that hard to believe...
