DannyDirnt Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 No, it's the making of the trilogy Oh okay thanks! So there will be an extra docummentary somewhen featuring the pre-Dookie stuff?
WhiteTim Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Oh okay thanks! So there will be an extra docummentary somewhen featuring the pre-Dookie stuff? The pre dookie stuff will be 2013/2014 no date has been giving for it
Jon Benjamin Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 The pre dookie stuff will be 2013/2014 no date has been giving for it I've heard that mentioned, but is it gonna be an official release?
WhiteTim Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 I've heard that mentioned, but is it gonna be an official release? I'd assume so GD themselves announced it
Pieces of Truth Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 But just think about it according to other bands, Green Day has about 12-15 songs on a CD. And that costs about 13euro a CD so that makes 39 euro for the three. Other bands like the Red Hot Chili Peppers make a double CD with 22 songs at ONE disk. They could have at least put the three CDs together. So in the end its just very expensive to love Green Day. And I just talk about the solid CDs and not the extended ones. So I guess thats just making money. Even the T-shirts you can buy at a concert cost 35 euro? I mean are you kidding? I was at a Billy talent concert and that t-shirt just costed 10 euro. And you can't deny that they did a Greed Day ROCKBAND version or a totally unuseful angry birds version. And they lie some kind of, when they're on stage, not every country can be their favorite and I can't believe what else they tell you. Sometimes they just do too much and I ends up being just feigned. They just want to be loved thats all, and its a fake. They take too many girls on stage, at some point its not that special anymore. Sorry I'm still having a bad picture of them since my last concert. I spent 25€ for a Dead Silence Tour shirt. Not a big difference. Btw: Your text is kinda hard to read man - Needs more paragraphs.
gloria93 Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 I spent 25€ for a Dead Silence Tour shirt. Not a big difference. I was on the same tour, the concert was a coule of weeks ago and the t-shirt costed 10 I promise!
Drop Dead Hideous Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 In the description it states exclusive dvd well, games say you can download EXCLUSIVE stuff if you pre order but after a few months after the release, they release it in public. As aforementioned, it's just a scheme. Plus, don't you want other fans to savor the Green Day goodness?
Pieces of Truth Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 I was on the same tour, the concert was a coule of weeks ago and the t-shirt costed 10 I promise! Whaaaaaaaaaat (stolen from Google.) This one?!?! God dammit, little fuckers. What show did you attend? [/offtopic]
WhiteTim Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 well, games say you can download EXCLUSIVE stuff if you pre order but after a few months after the release, they release it in public. As aforementioned, it's just a scheme. Plus, don't you want other fans to savor the Green Day goodness? I've said multiple times in the thread that it could be released seperately in the future I've just said it's not planned for it at this time. I work for WBHV (Warner Bros Home Video) we distribute for stand alone dvd/blu rays WMG releases and it's not on the shedcule for 2013 BUT it could easily change but thats up to the band and Reprise/WMG... As being apart of business I see the pro/cons of the exclusive material As a fan I see and understand the hate or dislike of something being held to a package that a person either doesnt want all of the package or dont have the resources to buy said package
pucky Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 I seriously can't understand the complain about the band saying in every concert things like "this is our favoirite city" or "this is the best audience we've ever had". You have to be reeeeally childish or just very innocent to not understand that. It's OBVIOUSLY a joke, it's part of the theatrical side of rock music, it's part of the fun! Of course they don't mean it every time they say things like that, but it's part of the spectacle. It's like one of the most ancient traditions in rock concerts. Just like the pantomime of leaving the stage and say goodbye when EVERYBODY knows they still have to play one or two encores... or many of the crazy things BJ does on the stage. Do you think it is spontaneous? Well, it's not, it is prepared, it's all part of a "script". I really can't get how that's a reason to complain.

Sorry I'm still having a bad picture of them since my last concert. You're kidding yourself if you believe Green Day is the only band that plays to its fans that way. At the end of the day, every mainstream artist is out to make money and be loved. Sorry that the last live experience left a bad taste in your mouth.

gloria93 Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Whaaaaaaaaaat (stolen from Google.) This one?!?! God dammit, little fuckers. [/offtopic] no its a bit different (it has the cover of the Cd on the front and the tourdates in the back of cause), I attended the show in saarbrücken. Now to all the others, at first I said I don't want you to get pissed by my writing. I never said Green Day was bad in any way. I never said that other bands don`t do the same stuff with their fans, it is of cause all played, but sometimes its BAD played, and the show is no fun at all if you remark it. You just feel like your in the wrong picture, you know? As I was on that one show the band didn't seem to be that happy anyway. Maybe the had a bad day, or whatever. I also don't say that the mercandise is bad alltogether, otherwise I woudn't buy it, I just say its sometimes to much not only accodring to Green Day. The stuff is mostly just thrown after you. I also don't like all the Simpsons T-Shirts anymore since they're so common (but okay thats got nothing to do with that, cause I'd love everybody to wear green day T-Shits all day long if they like the band(and I of cause like the simpsons too) I just try to criticise the costs. And I have a bad day too today. So I'm sorry if I made someone feel bad. That was really not my purpose!

Sorry I'm still having a bad picture of them since my last concert. The thing you say about the three CDS being just one isn't either commercially intelligent or acceptable from the customer's point of view. I don't know you, but I can't just afford a 45€ CD that easily and my parents would say I'm nuts for buying it. Then there's the tour shirt thing: Some of the tour T-shirts are in their official store and they cost like 15 pounds at most. The Angry Birds game might be unuseful for you, but actually it was a smart move because many people likes Angry Birds and it was a free facebook game, so they get some promotion with it. The Rock Band game is good for people who like Green Day, and so far I've heard many positive opinions about that game. Then about the thing of them lying... what do you want them to say? That you aren't any special and all the support they're getting from their public is just something ordinary they could get in any other concert? I guess you prefer feeling better with them showing they are having funa nd liking the public's reacion. It looks like somehow you want to dislike them or something, when they are truly doing nothing wrong with all that.

I really don't try to dislike Green Day man, its still my favourite band. I never said that rockband was shit, i like it too and the other stuff. Its just a litte overrated. I don't want to agrue anymore, I don't wanna be the idiot here. I just said what was on my mind. Its also not only me that's hypocritical, what you people write is the same. I guess your a little too blended from the Green Day glory. Really I don't wanna argue. I just said what I had too.
Pieces of Truth Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 no its a bit different (it has the cover of the Cd on the front and the tourdates in the back of cause), I attended the show in saarbrücken. Münster. Fuck you "nice" guy who sold me the Tee, I trusted you But I have to agree with Danny, it wouldn't be much more smarter to release a tripple CD, no one, except hardcore fans, is willing to spend so much money on a CD from a random artist. The 20€ for BIAB and Uno already hurted me... but that may be just me spending the whole amount of pocket money I've got available every month to spend on whatever I want on one CD/DVD.

Well I meant that even if it was a tripple CD it hasn't got to be THAT expensive. Other bands do double CD with 30-40 songs altogether and sell it for about 20 euro. I think that Green Day has too less songs on their CDs, you know?

I'm not arguing, I'm telling my opinion about what you said too. When someone posts his/her opinion here I assume it's because he/she wants to know ours or have some talk about it. Personally, I'm not hypocrital and I'm not saying things because Green Day is my favorite band, whenever Green Day does something I don't like I say it too. I really see nothing bad in all those things, and most time I was just being objective. And I didn't mean to say you dislike them, but it looked like you were trying to find bad things in everything. But I understand your point and if you don't wanna argue it's okay. I respect everyone's opinions. Well I meant that even if it was a tripple CD it hasn't got to be THAT expensive. Other bands do double CD with 30-40 songs altogether and sell it for about 20 euro. I think that Green Day has too less songs on their CDs, you know? Agree with this though. ¡Uno! was too expensive. I bought it for 17€ though, but it was a special discount in that store, it actually was 20'99€.
Mozzabillie Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 I hope it is sold on it's own, I couldn't afford the box set so that would be awesome I could only afford it by using a credit card. It is taking a few months to pay it off. That means I bought it and also paying interest on it! Uhm... Why be angry? I ordered the box set, and i think it would suck if not all Green Day fans gets the chance to buy the DVD For one, I could have bought the CDs A WHOLE LOT cheaper individually. I wouldn't have had to pay the expensive shipping, handling fees, and tax and would have gotten the CDs on the date they came out. I was already an Idiot Club member and did not even care about the books. I just wanted the CDs and DVD.
The Forgotten Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Whaaaaaaaaaat (stolen from Google.) This one?!?! God dammit, little fuckers. What show did you attend? [/offtopic] I will never understand how a local Canadian band from my town tours more in Europe then they do in North America >.<
harry88788 Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 This wasn't the band's doing. It's their job to make the music and then tour. After that it's basically in the hands of Warner and they will price it the way they think will earn them the most money without turning people off.
Mozzabillie Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 You can still get the DVD in the Digital Box Set Bundle. It won't be a physical copy but it is better than no copy at all. http://preorder.greenday.com/uno-dos-tre-digital-box-set.html?intcmp=120723/gday/wbr/hp_sp/s_pr/but/bdy/us/digitalboxset

I see your point, but there are people out there that couldn't afford the boxset and would like to have ¡Quatro! too. I see it pretty obvious that it wasn't going to be exclusive forever, that way they wouldn't make much money so the label wouldn't have been interested.

I'm sure it'll probably be uploaded to YouTube or something. So it won't stay "Exclusive" for long. Seriously, people shouldn't have bought the set just to get the DVD, because someone somewhere is going to upload it on the internet. Its common sense, you don't have to even buy DVDs if you have the internet.
