Good documentary. I found myself satisfied, but not necessarily wowed. I think the VH1 "preview" really ruined it for me, even though I only watched it once.

Highlight for me was the Echoplex footage that ended it. I'd probably watched that version of Stay The Night 100 times on YouTube... Glad to see a hi-def version of it. So much emotion.

This. I found myself not hating Nightlife while watching it. That's a problem. :P Songs like Fuck Time, Kill The DJ, Nightlife, 8th Ave. Serenade all sound so much better live... I just hate how much unreached potential all these songs have on the CDs when you compare them to what you hear on the DVD.

I guess, for me, it's just overall kind of difficult to watch the DVD because of all the excitement/hype they had during the recording process, and seeing how it all panned out now... It's kind of sad. =/ OK, I'll stop being a Debbie Downer now... But seriously, really wish the trilogy would make a comeback. These songs are really good.

That's a lot of what I was thinking too. They had SO much hype and enthusiasm for the trilogy throughout the DVD, and hearing some of the new stuff live is amazing!! Maybe it's things that went down with Billie or maybe it was audience reaction at the smaller shows, but I don't like how the trilogy basically died. I hope when/if they do a second leg of touring they'll bring back more of the new stuff.

What the fuck man, those live/studio performances of Kill the DJ and - yes, I'm gonna say it - Nightlife are fucking awesome. Nightlife sounds more like a groovy rap song in ¡cuatro!, not the sleazy one that it became once they brought in lady cobra.

Nothing against lady Cobra, because I don't know her or anything, but yeah, I thought after they brought her in it kind of ruined the song.

I wish the DVD could've been longer to include more in studio stuff. The live shows were cool, and the little bit of seeing the guys goof off and work were amazing, I just wish there could've been more of it.

I think it's on YouTube.

Edit: I really don't know if this have been discussed already.

I watched Cuatro last night and think it is such a gift to us fans. Thank you Green Day for letting cameras to allow us a glimpse into your studios and the small shows that helped to create U/D/T.

Im totally dense, because until I saw Cuatro, I didnt see the thread that connects all of the songs in U/D/T, which I now see as much more personal and raw exposing of Billie Joe's thoughts and feelings. Like when he says he's writing about what everyone's thinking and feeling but nobody's saying. Amen Billie!

I love how a audience member had to hold the lyric sheet during Lazy Bones lol

Lady Cobra is hot, but the documentary was just okay. Mike's little rant about his bass was hilarious.

Special features suck also should have some concert footage or something any one know what was playing in the that just happened video

I enjoyed the documentary. I loved seeing how much fun they were having recording the trilogy.

Oh man, it's so depressing to read about all this exciting stuff :D UPS didn't even ship my order :D And I didn't watch the VH1 Highlights because I thought it will pay off and as I see it will, now I'm even more excited

I didn't get a digital, only the physical copy.

Really good documentary, although I could've done with a few less live show shots in lieu of more backstage shots. Hearing Billie sing himself the lyrics to songs by himself was adorable  Mike's "I'm a FUCKING PROFESSIONAL" rant was the greatest thing I've ever heard. The acid story was hilarious.

Also, call me crazy, but I swear in the Vh1 version the face on the skateboard doesn't have an X over it like it did in the movie
