Pieces of Truth Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 http://www.greenday....vorab-stream-an "Eine Dokumentation hat die spannende Reise begleitet: "¡Quatro!" bietet dem Zuschauer auf über zwei Stunden Länge Einblicke in die Welt von Green Day!" Yep. It's gonna be over 2 hours in full length.
DannyDirnt Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 I don't if this has been said yet or not, but ¡Quatro! confirms one thing: There is 'professionally' recorded material from Kerplunk era. Also, this video made me wonder if this time the live DVD and CD from the tour will have studio quality like the videos in ¡Quatro!. My guess is it will.

What's the footage from Kerplunk era?
Heather. Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 I watched this twice. What's the footage from Kerplunk era? I saw nothing of the sort in Quatro, either. And I screen capped the whole thing, so I'm pretty confident there isn't any. That being said, I would bet Green Day does have SOME professional if not quite HD footage from the Kerplunk days.

It's not about a video appearing in ¡Quatro!. We know there is material from Kerplunk era because Billie said that they hadn't have professional recordings of their performances since around Kerplunk times so they felt like if they were in a new band. We do have BiaB or AAF but damn, their new performances have fucking studio quality!

There's professional recordings of everything from the irving plaza show, vh1 storytellers, bottom of the hill 97.

Green Day are going to release a documentary about the Pre-Dookie era with alot of unseen footage, so yeah i guess there is.
Cori Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 I'm sure they've all felt it; Billie admitted to crying when he left for the summer tour as it meant missing his son's first day of his senior year of high school. Do you have a link to this? Was it in a video or a magazine? I'm just curious because it would be interesting to see.

And I think all of their performances are recorded. They just don't release them. They do have audio from every show on their last tours.
Pieces of Truth Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Billie admitted to crying when he left for the summer tour as it meant missing his son's first day of his senior year of high school. Now I feel kinda bad because I went to that tour, though I don't really have a reason to fell that way. urgh.
DecanoLP Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Now I feel kinda bad because I went to that tour, though I don't really have a reason to fell that way. urgh. No reason to feel bad. It's his job to go on tour...
sampy Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Now I feel kinda bad because I went to that tour, though I don't really have a reason to fell that way. urgh. Come on. That's just little bit too much, it's their work!
Pieces of Truth Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Come on. That's just little bit too much, it's their work! Nah, I expressed myself wrong. I meant bad for him I forgot to write the "him" out.
farley drexel hatcher Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Do you have a link to this? Was it in a video or a magazine? I'm just curious because it would be interesting to see. I think it was a radio interview :/ he said it in a light hearted way though. As in, it's sucks, but it's something they have to deal with
jacknovella Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Was it this one? He talks about walking away from his teary-eyed family at about 00:25 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KP9M1__on3I

They just don't release them. They do have audio from every show on their last tours. Oh well. But not studio quality like in ¡Quatro! I guess because AAF definitely didn't have such surprising quality.

I'll check that interview out when I have time.
farley drexel hatcher Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 I think he mentioned it in a different interview too
AlissaGoesRAWR Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Finally got around to watching the VH1 highlights yesterday and I thought it was really well done! Can't wait to see the whole thing! Although the part where X-Kid is playing and they all look so happy during those fun, short clips was almost kind of painful to watch, given the current circumstances. Watching the whole thing was almost bittersweet and left me with a somber feeling afterward. Man, I miss seeing them all happy during promotions, live shows, etc.
21stcenturyidiot Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Watching the MTV version. This is awesome. This is why I fucking LOVE this band. Some of the recordings make the songs sound 10000x better than the studio versions. Also, watching this is weird, like watching a video of people having sex after seeing their babies.....Edit: Mike's kids are so cute
Moomoo Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 it would be cool if they made quatro a album that had demos, outtakes, and different takes of the songs from uno dos and tre
Slave To The Network Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 Do we have a vague idea of when the DVD will actually be out yet?
Heisenberg Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 Do we have a vague idea of when the DVD will actually be out yet? I was hoping they were gonna do a deluxe version of Tre that had included it. I guess not now though.
blitzkriegdeb Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 Do we have a vague idea of when the DVD will actually be out yet? Not 100% sure, but I thought some people got an email and in it the date for Quatro got pushed back til January or something.
Slave To The Network Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 Not 100% sure, but I thought some people got an email and in it the date for Quatro got pushed back til January or something. Okay, cool. So it's not that far out.
