SamMacs Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 Just watched it, I think it was really great! Hope that the entire thing is much longer though whenever we, the box set buyers, get it on dvd.
moonflower93 Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 Tre with all the tambourines one of the cutest tre moment.
Cob Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 I imagine this was replied to but I didn't see a reply - I think you may have slightly misinterpreted Billie here... In the documentary, we see him recording in his mock up studio at home... During Missing You we see him singing and playing guitar at the same time. That means that he was writing the songs and the lyrics at home, in order to take them to the studio. In comparison, for the '4 songs from Nimrod', he'd only written the instrumental versions, and had to write vocals whilst in the studio, adding to the pressure, making it a 'lyrical nightmare'. Yeah you're right.
Schlappy Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Probably been said already but in the credits they name two people as playing Billie and Mike in an "Acid story reenactment". oh dear, I'm excited for the whole thing. Ahhh they make me laugh

Ahhh they make me laugh That means they're gonna play a scene where they're supposed to be on acid!? THAT'S GONNA BE SO COOL OMG

Chuckk Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Just watched Quatro highlights and ... uhm ... when Mike way saying that thing about Christie Road .. and that thing about his daugher "to mate you miserable.. etc." ... he seemed ... sick of all this (?) ... seemed egoistic and Billie too, in some places, i don't know whyyy ..

"To mate you miserable"? Could you be more explicit about what he was saying please?
Chuckk Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 "To mate you miserable"? Could you be more explicit about what he was saying please? Whops Made* ... when his daughter asked him why he has to go to job ... he was sarcastic with saying "to make you miserable so other people can have happines" and rolled his eyes .. with no smile ..

Oh, well I don't find that egoistical. He doesn't have to be smiling all the time and joking. He's a human too and he can have bad days and negative opinions, or maybe he had explained it to her many times already. Also, saying a sarcastic comment rolling your eyes, even with no smile, could be taken as a joke. I might watch the ¡Quatro! thing before I give a proper opinion though. But from what you tell me it seems pretty normal. In a docummentary they should show their normal behavior and he shouldn't smile only because he's in front of a camera. That assuming you¡re talking about Ryan Ruby Mae (happy, everyone? ), if he was talking to Stelle they could have even had a little argument or something. But why would Stelle ask that?

Not sick of it, just speaking his mind. And the thing with his kids, he always rolls his eyes like that; it's just something he does. I don't think he means in it the normal eye rolling type of way. And there was nothing egotistical about it either. "To mate you miserable"? Could you be more explicit about what he was saying please? He leaves the hotel and mimicks what his son says to him - "why do you have to go to work daddy?" to make you miserable, so i can make other people happy ..." he says it in any way a dad would talk about having to upset his kids to do his work. I'm sure they've all felt it; Billie admitted to crying when he left for the summer tour as it meant missing his son's first day of his senior year of high school.

Of course i'm not saying now they all became bad, egoistic people! But .. and hey, he also said "When they request Christie Road once again, i'm gonna hit them with my bass" and there was no humor in it... but whatever

Nah, it's Brixton. His hair's just long
DannyDirnt Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Just seen the part with Mike says that about going to job. He was definitely joking. and hey, he also said "When they request Christie Road once again, i'm gonna hit them with my bass" and there was no humor in it... but whatever I agree with this one. In that one I do see him a little frustrated. I don't really understand it but I guess he was like 'Fuck, we've been doing all this hard as hell work, we've been recording, we've been dying to show you and all you wanna hear is Christie fucking Road!?'.

DannyDirnt Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 I heard the ¡Tré! previews in ¡Quatro! and remember nothing about the sound of the songs, only very general details Those live recordings gave me goosebumps and reminded me how good they usually are live and now I officially love the lyrics 'We're the retarded and the broken hearted' Those sound like so funny and emotional and the same time! It proves that Mike said about Billie's new lyrics being both serious and dark but still fun
Todd Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Who's the donkey penis that put Quatro as a studio album on Green Day's Discography page? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C2%A1Quatro!#Videography And they even said it'll be on LP. I'd love to watch Quatro on a disc of vinyl.
Nimrod99 Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 I laugh everytime I see these 2 things: 1) in the beginning where someone runs onstage, pushes Billie, and pretty much knocks him on his ass. 2) Tre in the foliage suit screwing with people. Especially when he walks in the room and Mike looks totally unipressed. Tre is a freaking hoot.

Nimrod99 Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 I think that's Lady Cobra, right? I have no idea.
Schlappy Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 "When they request Christie Road once again, i'm gonna hit them with my bass" and there was no humor in it... but whatever Billie laughed at it, and you left out the beginning where he says "i love them but". not saying it changes anything but keep in mind over analyzing things, especially when its a tiny snapshot of a moment, usually leads to false accusations. you could be right but we have no idea of knowing. It's like the billie rehab assumption idiocy all over again
