Hopefully the director is correct bout it being included in the AI 10thand anniversary thing...

Can't wait to watch this. I'm more excited about the other documentary they're working on though.

It would be so perfect if they released the Heart Like A Hand Grenade documentary in fall 2014. Crossing my fingers that happens!

It's so cool that they're playing some highlights of the trilogy DVD on TV - that will hold us over until it comes out next year. Maybe some wayward teen who watches VH1 or MTV for the music (do they still play that?? :P ) will see it and buy the albums too. And fall in love with Green Day in general since they're so charismatic and talented. That' be good!

But really, I'm just excited to see how they write/record in the studio. I've always wanted to get a glimpse into their everyday life, and this will show that really well I think. We all know how they are on stage and in interviews and stuff, but this will kind of show a different side, so it will be really interesting to see that. I can't wait.

Also, I still remember those other documentaries they mentioned. I wonder when the pre-Dookie and AI musical documentaries will be ready.... They should be really interesting too. So much exciting Green Day stuff to look forward to!

I think the sookie one would be good for a 2014 release 20th anniversary of Dookie as well

I can't wait. I hope I can catch the highlights on TV, I don't have cable so I'll probably have to go to a friends to enjoy it. I'm just glad that this is being released soon...I've been waiting for the Blinkumentary for almost 2 years now and it still hasn't been released.

And it probably won't be now that Blink is independent and Interscope owned it.

Also, I wonder if in 2014 since it's just over a year away, Green Day will get HUGE again and have a massive hit record, Dookie: 1994, AI: 2004, ???: 2014

Possibly...but if Blink is able to obtain the rights they can easily release it on their own.

I think they should release another album next year, possibly in an attempt to put themselves back in the public light again, although it's very unlikely. Maybe we could finally get Ciggarretes & Valentines? Hahaha

If Green Day ever released C&V as their 12th studio album I'd probably stop following the band altogether. They said themselves that the album wasn't maximum GD, so if they ever released it as their next album it would show that they just don't care, any band that releases an album that they KNOW is weak is a band I'd lose all respect for. I'll say this though, Green Day had better go into a direction musically that no one expects on their 12th album, otherwise they'll run out of ideas, wind up creating a weak record, and start fading to obscurity.

They could easily release it as a B-sides album or a fun "lost record." At the time they said it wasn't maximum Green Day as it didn't capture them at that moment in time, but who knows? In hindsight they might really enjoy the songs. I for one, really enjoyed Cigarettes & Valentines from Awesome as Fuck, so I wouldn't mind it; although I admit in this case my curiosity is definitely getting the best of me.

Bonus album would be fine, but I meant as a full fledged album.

They wouldnt do it like that. If they ever decide to make Anerican Idiot 2, I would crap myself. I'm a loyal fan no mattet what the fuck they do. I'm a Green Day zombie

I dont think C&V is a bad album or mediocre GD they have released 2 songs already and they were good tracks and if walk away is really from the c&v time they obviously think there are some good songs on it...

Yeah. Welcome to Paradise was weak on Kerplunk, but they gave it a shoe shine and made it great for Dookie

You're talking about C&V and too much too soon as the 2 right?

Yeah is there any others I may be missing? Not up to date with all the tracks that was meant to be on c&v

No one knows really. It could range from Letterbomb (Clusterbomb)-Lights Out, Olivia, or Dreamcatcher.

How did the info bout too much too soon come from being from c&v? Interviews?

I always wondered where tmts and shoplifter were meant to be placed within AI cause whatshername is a perfect ending for AI

Shoplifter was most likely originally intended to be on C&V. It was released before AI and listen to it and too much too soon then AI, the vocals sound older, more nasally and fat

Thought so as well cause story line doesnt match up imo

Itd be cool if they released c&v as a cd even if it 320kbs mp3s at greenday.com

Well, as I always say... When Green Day is over, Warner will milk the money with post-whateveryacallit releases. Every record company does. We're bound to get something

So since they annouced that the DVD will be released next year does that mean ipeople who didn't get the boxset are able to buy it?

No it's still a box set exclusive for right now

Of course they could always release it as a stand alone later down the road but for now only box set but non box set buyers will be able to watch a 35-40 min edited version on vh1 next thursday

Maybe but only with the band's permission while Warner owns the recordings they dont own the band name so theyd have to get the bands permission

Posted

I still think they'll release it for everyone else later on...or at least i'm hoping
