MassHysteria2012 Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 This is the new single by Best Coast. Saw them play at The Borderline last night and I love them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zp57yVOGHwQ&list=PLaFX3vBEoqHyxPqTH3I0lsrHRKNmK6IuM&index=6
Mar Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 I just kind of love the idea that a female-fronted band will be opening for them

Fuzz Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Better yet, GDA post http://www.greendayauthority.com/news/3585/
Katarina. Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Better yet, GDA post http://www.greendaya....com/news/3585/ GDA wins.
netty Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Better yet, GDA post http://www.greendaya....com/news/3585/ oh stolen directly from the official site! how rude!
lizziebix Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Haven't we been talking about this in another thread for like days? (Which I can't link to because I'll on my phone!)
netty Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 probably but it was a rumour then. this is official
Anja Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 ^We have. This is not exactly new. But well, haven't we always been faster than Greenday.com?
Katarina. Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Haven't we been talking about this in another thread for like days? (Which I can't link to because I'll on my phone!) I've seen posts about it in the North American tour thread (which is now closed), but I think having a thread for this is fine.
lizziebix Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 So we don't need this whole thread: http://www.greendaycommunity.org/topic/90032-best-coast-to-support-2013-us-tour/ Where GDC started talking about this 6 days ago!
Homero Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 I´m going to see this band next month probably
Jessicabasketcase Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 FUCK YEAH! Hope this applies to Australian tour dates..
Tubbie Head Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 They're not bad... Now, annouce the European/rest of the world tour, please!
Eldoon Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 I was really hoping they were going to have Wavves open for them like Mike had insinuated in an interview a while ago. Wavves is definitely a better, punkier "fit" for GD. Best Coast annoys the crap out of me. Still, not the worst band in the world; I'm sure a lot of GD fans will dig 'em.
BringMoreKnives Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Eh. Not too thrilled about that. Oh well.
Sarahnade Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Odd combo, but I like Best Coast so that'll be fine. Though I will say, Best Coast is the kind of band I listen to in the summer time, so it'll be a bit odd seeing them in the winter.
porksoda Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 After this, all the hipsters and websites jerking it to Best Coast will no longer be interested in 'em.
TaylorKlinke Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 I was just looking on Best Coast's facebook page and when they announced an hour ago or so that they're playing with Green Day....most of the comments are "eww why?" "i would go if green day wasn't playing"....lame.
BillieJoeObsesser Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Pretty excited to see Best Coast!!
blitzkriegdeb Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Like I said in the last thread, I like Best Coast and (obvz) Green Day, but it'll be interesting to see how the crowds react to them together. I loved AFI because, they weren't the best live, but they definitely brought the energy needed to pump up a Green Day crowd. I can't speak fairly because I haven't seen Best Coast live, but their music just makes me want to smoke a bowl and lay in bed and have weird funky dreams and shit, not jump around and go nuts. An odd mix for sure, but hey, cheers to them supporting a local California band. Also, like others said, I personally think Wavves would've been a better choice, but all well.
