belinda jane Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 so many people were posting "green day?!" comments. now we play the waiting game...
UNICORN VOMIT Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Yeah I saw that - 4 years is too long. They did say ROCK concerts - so I wouldn't classify JT and Beyoncé as ROCK - would you.
belinda jane Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 hahaha no. i'm pretty sure one of them will be the rolling stones, because i did read that they are scheduled to tour.
UNICORN VOMIT Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 I don't think frontier are bring the Stones here - I think it is the Paul Dainty Group.
belinda jane Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 the first warped tour announcement for australia is on july 10th. it's a possibilty they could be playing? i guess..
UNICORN VOMIT Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 No possibility - I am certain we will hear in a few weeks. Are you planning concerts out of your state?
belinda jane Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 i'm not sure. i mean, i'm sure i will - but i'm trying to save for a house first. but we'll see what happens. depending on costs
Lost and Found Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 Tre just replied to some guy on instagram asking if he forgot about Australia. Tre said that hthey haven't and that they love it down unda. This is the first real tour news in ages
UNICORN VOMIT Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 Thanks for posting. That's cool for tre to reply. Would have thought more likely mike. This is Australia's month to hear.
turks Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 Awseome news! do you think they will continue doing outdoor stadium shows like they are doing in Europe or go back to the arena shows?
UNICORN VOMIT Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 If you mean outdoor festivals - I think they will do arenas - mainly because of the ticketek waitlist.
turks Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 Na, like when they came to Australia in December 2005 they played at SCG and the Telstra Dome. So when they come next do you think they will play in those big outdoor stadiums or indoor arenas like Allphones Arena, Brisbane Entertainment Centre and Rod Laver Arena?
UNICORN VOMIT Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 Personally I still think arenas even though billie joe said he wanted to do some intimate shows - I think a lot has happened since then. Somewhere might get a secret show. I think stadiums could have happened if the trilogy ended up getting airtime - which it didn't. But who knows if Taylor swift has managed to do it anything is possible.
turks Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 yeah true, i was hoping for a few stadium shows and also few really intimate shows as well but its not looking likely. Watching videos on youtube of there show at the Emirates gave me goose bumps! The crowd and the energy and the big screens , Ahh!
belinda jane Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 i honestly don't think they'd be able to sell out big stadiums like that again this time around. but that's just my opinion. i could be wrong.
UNICORN VOMIT Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 I agree - but the prospect of intimate shows excites the crap out of me Still think it will be arenas though.
Gwakington Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 My heart, i'm hoping they'll to do a mixture of intimate shows and larger arena/stadium shows. My head says it'll just be a regular arena tour that will get announced a week after my idiot club membership lapses late July/early august I'd love to see a stadium tour like at the end of 05, but Muse have the stadiums this summer for their full tour (they're shipping out the full stage too). A lot of the stadiums are now limiting the amount of musical performances on their grounds because of the damage that the sets/stages can do to the grounds for the many sports leagues that use their facilities for games. Unless green day are bringing a brand new stage show that nobody knows about that will rival muse, i doubt stadiums.

This is my first year with idiot club membership - do we usually get any benefits in Australia for pre-sales etc.
belinda jane Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 i've been with the idiot club since '05, and they've never had pre-sale benefits for australians.. ever.
UNICORN VOMIT Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 ha - thanks - the reason I joined was because I heard the words "intimate shows" & I didn't want to miss out.
Liam Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 i've been with the idiot club since '05, and they've never had pre-sale benefits for australians.. ever. They had presale in 2009. I remember waking up on the day on general public tickets not feeling scared I wasn't going to get tickets, then decided to get tickets to the second night
UNICORN VOMIT Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 Yeah I just got frontier pre-sale in 2009 & still they weren't great tickets - side view not bad.

I remember waking up on the day on general public tickets not feeling scared I wasn't going to get tickets, then decided to get tickets to the second night wasn't that the frontier pre-sale though? not through IC? i'm probably wrong, haha. i remember they had that photographer competition though.
UNICORN VOMIT Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 I remember the second night going shit why aren't I there - its just down the road. I won't be making that mistake again. It was a few days after before they released the second show. I think 3/4 of the centre saw them both nights.
Cruise Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Hopefully it is Green Day, the suspense of not know whether I will be able to go or not is killing me.
