Nimrod99 Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 what do you mean by 'real' women? Probably woment of all shapes and sizes who don't look like models would be my guess.
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 20yo models are real women as well. I see your point, just saying that no woman is more 'real' than another.
Hermione Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 I hate the term 'real women', models are every bit as 'real' as any other woman. I think the aim of the video is to show a stereotypical rock and roll scene of the band drinking and smoking and hanging out with women who look like models/groupies. So of course they hired women who look like the characters they're supposed to play. Just like how in the Minority video they would've been casting 'alternative' looking people, or in the Hitchin A Ride video they cast an extremely tall man and an extremely short man. It's just a case of casting the right people to play certain characters. There's people of different shapes/sizes/styles in other Green Day videos, I think this particular video just called for that particular shape/size/style.
Dori_Epiphone Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 after this, I can not wait to see a video for FUCK TIME xD
gerardsangel4977 Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 I still think this video looks like a mid-life crisis gone wrong...LoL Just once I'd like to see a video that features 'real' women and women older than their 20's. It'd be a refreshing change imo. I do agree that they could've included some slightly older ladies to get some women closer to the band's age in the mix....But I agree with Hermione, I hate the phrase "real women". As far as I can tell, none of the actresses/models used in the vid seem to be surgically enhanced in any way, and that makes them real enough for me.
Bastard of 1967 Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 I still think this video looks like a mid-life crisis gone wrong... ...which is exactly the underlying theme of the whole album trilogy. If that's your takeaway from the video then I'd say Sam Bayer got the job done.
Undómiel Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 A few things... 1) This is way better than the censored version methinks, there's just more too it, tits aside. 2) It makes more sense than the censored version. 3) I do sometimes wonder what wives and girlfriends think of this sort of thing. So yeah sure, it's "acting" and what not but idk... I suppose it's just part of the job. 4) The girl at 4.14... Lucky stick. You were all thinking it - I just said it.
sampy Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 For the fuck's sake, acting in music video doesn't differ from acting in movies or TV-series. There's thousands of sex scenes in movies and tv-shows and those actors have wifes, husbands and kids. AND THIS VIDEO DOESN'T EVEN HAVE A SEX SCENE! It's part of their job. Why people make so big deal of it? If you think that hanging out with hot half-naked girls at music video shoot makes you the person who doesn't respect their families, you should go to nunnery or something. It's okay if you dislike the video, but don't judge band members about it, really. That's just immature. Thank you.
Clockwise Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 I don't fucking understand why they didn't just release this version.
AlissaGoesRAWR Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 I don't fucking understand why they didn't just release this version. I'd say most of us agree with you on that one.
LudeBoy Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 What's her name? her name is Kristen Leanne, not a suicide girl like i thought but she is a model.
sampy Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 her name is Kristen Leanne, not a suicide girl like i thought but she is a model. Thanks a lot bro! She's really hot. I found her on Facebook
LudeBoy Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Thanks a lot bro! She's really hot. I found her on Facebook i found her by looking at tres instagram haha you should see her on there
sampy Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 i found her by looking at tres instagram haha you should see her on there I don't use instagram I mean I found her fan page after you told me the name!
dallasthemenace Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 yeah, im on board with the notion that the video is lame. either version. its a disappointment on both the band and sam bayer. it just feels 'phoned in'. the best part is seeing the guys with cigs. now, if a drunken skank wouldve fallen off her heels, i would be more apt to like the clip...
A song for the lovers Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Tre's looking at that women's arse always makes me laugh, don't know why
Bastard of 1967 Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 This version is brilliant! They could've used that intro instead of the "clean" version, which although I liked the video in the first place, I think is miles better. I suspect that after the fact, Bayer & Co. realized that the first video release fell flat, hence the delay in releasing the uncut version -- they didn't just take the same video and release it without obscuring the anatomy, they gave the whole thing a complete overhaul from the ('scuse the bad pun) bottom up. At this point, my vote's for blurring out the naughty bits to avoid over-TITtillating the kiddies, releasing the "new and improved" PG-13-rated version on YouTube, and torching every fucking copy of the first version that still exists. Even my 5-year-old is allowed a "do-over" every now and then.
Katarina. Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 This version is kinda cool actually, at least I like it. The censored version is so different from this one! It didn't make one bit of sense to me They could've just used the uncensored version and replace the frames of the "inappropriate" stuff with other footage.

It didn't make one bit of sense to me They could've just used the uncensored version and replace the frames of the "inappropriate" stuff with other footage. Yeah, I couldn't figure that out either. It's like two completely different videos, and I kinda prefer this one due to the whole editing and cutting together of the shots. It has more to it than the censored version, which is kind of a drag.

No Rhyme Or Reason Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 So, the video on iTunes seems to be the original PG version. Lame. They should release this version (and if necessary, maybe just blur out the naughty scenes - or replace them with different shots - so that it can be bought by the general public). Also, can I mention how annoyed I was to find that the Oh Love video from the Uno preorder ended with like a 10 second ad for Angry Birds? Why would they do that?? So I deleted that video and bought the normal 5:04 version without the ad.
Slave To The Network Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 I don't know... personally, I think it was kind of a mistake to make a video like this. I mean, it's pornography. Is that really how Green Day wants themselves to be represented? Come on, guys. Also, my biggest comlaint is too much of the girls and not enough Green Day!
