I liked the first uncut version of the video, but this is even better! I like that backstage and party feeling in the video. For me it's pure rock 'n roll music video.

Wow this is SO much better! No wussiness, no awkwardness, it works! The rock and roll characters the band are playing are portrayed so much better and more clearly, instead of just people standing around looking bored and awkward there's a proper feeling of fun, temptation, and sexual tension. Amusing that it's on Playboy too. It's no Pussy by Rammstein , but it's actually a decent, well executed and gutsy video that makes clear sense with regard to the song.

This is a fictional music video. The band members and the women are just acting, they're playing characters to represent the lyrics of the song which are about lust and sexual tension. It doesn't represent the band in real life, just the song. In the Basket Case video they live in a mental institution but we know they don't really , it was just to represent a song. And in this video it's exactly the same, we know they don't really surround themselves with scantily clad women and behave like that, it's just to represent another song.

You have an interesting definition of "dumb". Not sure what one thing has to do with another.

As Hermione said, this is just a reflection of what the song is about and has nothing to do with the actual band (members) or what they stand for as such. People need to stop taking things so seriously.

This video is so much better. There's only a few shots of nudity, why couldn't they just have edited those out for the 'clean' version and left the rest. The bit before the solo is probably less suggestive than the other version!

True. It does look slightly lame the way they try to make his smoking look cool though, including a gratuitous shot of it in the uncut version but censoring it out of the cut version as if it's some kind of edgy thing. Not that I think it would influence anyone to smoke or anything or that I object to it, just that when people pose around with cigarettes it looks lame . But then again they're just playing characters anyway, posing around with drink and women like that in real life would look lame too.

Much better -- it actually has a believable plot in this version. It also accurately captures the essence of at least the first two trilogy albums -- the tension set up by the band at a party surrounded by all these young, sexually-charged women (iUno!), and the descent into sex, drugs (ok, well, alcohol anyway), and rock'n'roll debauchery (iDos!) as the party rolls on.

That shot toward the end when Billie peers up at the camera and does that thing with his eyebrows....OMG. It's the same shot from the same angle as the original video, just held a lot longer and it works perfectly here now. I gotsa go make a gif outta that.
