That Dude Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Troublemaker, Rusty James, Sweet 16, and Angel Blue are my favorites, but everything else is fantastic too, but i'm just digging those songs new sound Troublemaker and Angel Blue are my least favorites at the moment. But oh man. Rusty James and Sweet 16!!!!!!!!!!!!!! amazing.
Bastard of 1967 Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 I just completed a cover of "Fell For You." Check it out! Holy fuck...give that man a recording contract. Seriously.
DannyDirnt Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 I just completed a cover of "Fell For You." Check it out! , just . I love this a lot. You're good
Bastard of 1967 Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 One takeaway I'm getting from the diverse ratings everyone's giving the different songs is that there really is something in iUno! for everyone. Some songs resonate with some people and others don't, but I think moreso than in past Green Day albums what hits home and what doesn't is all over the map this time. In that sense it's a much, much more "personal" album than anything they've done before, and I think the early spread of opinions reflects that.

I hope that means that they'll play all the songs instead of taking some songs out of the setlist. And that they play non-single stuff. I really wanna see Fell For You, Sweet 16 or Rusty James live.
amy_runs Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 It's weird to me how this album will be attracting completely new fans, some that have never listened to Green Day and some that have never even heard of Green Day. It's pretty awesome to think about.
localinsomniac Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 But doesn't every album attract a new crop of fans?
amy_runs Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 But doesn't every album attract a new crop of fans? Yes, but I've never really thought about it. And Green Day is realllllllly far in their career so it's strange to me how more and more people will be listening. Like... their fan base is big enough already! i dont know what im saying
Lindsay Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Yeah, that's right. I hope that means that they'll play all the songs instead of taking some songs out of the setlist. And that they play non-single stuff. I really wanna see Fell For You, Sweet 16 or Rusty James live. They're definitely not going to play all of Uno... Dos and Tre have yet to come and they'll still leave room for oldies, I would suspect 3-4 from each album at the most. I would love to hear Rusty James live too though. But doesn't every album attract a new crop of fans? It does, but it's still neat to think that because of Uno someone could discover all of Green Day's other albums and have their life changed by the band, as we have all experienced.
localinsomniac Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Yes, but I've never really thought about it. And Green Day is realllllllly far in their career so it's strange to me how more and more people will be listening. Like... their fan base is big enough already! i dont know what im saying Well hopefully the fan base continues to grow. The fact that they've been doing this for more than 20 years and are still enjoying playing together and putting out new music is a testament to their longevity. Every new record brings in new recruits, which more often than not introduces them to the band's back catalog. I think that's lovely.

Homero Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 "...now you´re sucking on a doorknob that I slammed on your face..." (from Loss of Control). Someone said this song is like the "86 of the 21st Century". So, is that a reference to 86? "...don't let the door kick you in the ass..." (from 86) Or am i just crazy? (Am I just stoned?)
Milo Goes To Pasalacqua Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Why do are people putting up album art? Is it out in some physical form? I thought i wasn't out at all at all til next tues. Am I the only one that screams "Heyyyyyy Hoooooo!" right after Billie Joe in "Stay the night" ??? No. No you are not. Hes made the booklet Billie said in GW he was the 4th member So Green Day aren't a trio anymore? WHAT COULD THIS MEAN? Quadrology?
DannyDirnt Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Still addicted to Rusty James, Fell For You, Carpe Diem and Stay The Night! I listen to these 4 all the time!
Hero_Of_The_Hour Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Ok so i was just rushing down the street in my local town (Cavan Ireland) and thought i was seeing things... ¡Uno! Vinyl for sale in the window!! Pretty sure they have the cd version too. Couldnt go in as i had to drive my mum to the doctors and was late (hence the rushing) but its extra cool cos this is a very small independent shop that usually takes days/weeks to get in new releases! Ps. Also they had a GD shirt hanging outside the shop for weeks so they have been luring us in ; )
Dori_Epiphone Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 a friend in facebook just received this! That´s awesome guys. (It´s not the limited editon)
Elena Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 yay just got iUNO! and i feel bad for the fact that i first have to write that i have it instead of listening to it ...and i got the one with the t-shirt
