For the purposes of Green Day's contract, they and WMG agreed to treat the entire three-album series as a single "album" unit, but I suspect that won't be dispositive as far as the Grammys and other awards go. This is a great question. One would have to think that the RIAA would recognize each part of the trilogy as its own separate entity, at least in terms of sales. If - and this is strictly for the sake of argument - ¡TRE! bombs but the other two sell, let's say, 3 million apiece...wouldn't it be wrong to certify all three as 6x platinum?

I think Green Day and Warner agreed to treat it as 1 release for contract purposes only. Green Day might only have say 3 albums left on their current contract with Warner and my guess is Warner didnt want the band to be out of contract by treating this as 3 albums. As far as everyone outside of the contract is concerned it is 3 different albums. Well that's the way I see it any way. Even in those studio videos they released they called them albums 9, 10 and 11.

I haven't stopped listening to the album at all since yesterday, the only thing I'm not exited for is the stupid slow motion count down at the end of Nuclear Family, that's just dragging the song out.

I don't know why but I can see that song being in the credits for The Spongebob Squarepants movie. And Loss of Control sounds like a Underclass Hero B-Side.(Still one of my favs though)

I've seen folks here say GD has a 1 album contract but my sources at the label say not true they dont have a album by album but they re signed to a certain amount after 21st came out As far as RIAA and sales unless Uno Dos Tre all have the same exact bar code (which i exetremely doubt) then each album will be counted seperately
