teresa1988 Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I refuse to listen to a leaked Green Day album, it just does not feel right. I hope I can hold out for one more week... Just going to keep watching Let Yourself Go on YouTube over and over again haha I know what you mean, but I couldn't resist...
SynthwaveTrooper Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 What do you think about the beat / radiate / break thing? Cannot hear that bit at all. it is break
WWA Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I know what you mean, but I couldn't resist... Yea... I don't know yet if I will break down or not... Just got to keep myself distracted
Cori Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Alright. I caved in. Sweet 16 is so, well, sweet. I love it. The full version of Troublemaker is AWESOME. I think the studio versions of Stay the Night and Carpe Diem are great, too. Haven't listened to Rusty James or Loss of Control yet, but I'm sure they'll be good.
SynthwaveTrooper Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Wrote that out first but was like, I'm sure I hear an "r" and "ate" so radiate came about. You're probably right though, beat does make loads more sense. the 2nd time he says the verse... i hear "break', i hear that "BR"
teresa1988 Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Yea... I don't know yet if I will break down or not... Just got to keep myself distracted Well, good luck! Must be hard...
.Holly Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 the 2nd time he says the verse... i hear "break', i hear that "BR" actually yeah, now I listen more closely.

EvanAsFuck Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Definitely a great album and lots of great writing. However, I'm not a huge fan of it's overall sound and the feel of the recordings. The guitar tracks are almost all with that crunch-esque tone and there seems to be a lack of the powerful, overdriven, lead guitar that has been in every other Green Day album (Warning is a bit of an exception, but that had a whole other thing going for it that worked ridiculously well). The songs are all there, but it's just lacking that undefinable power and energy that shoves the music in your face. All this being said I found myself dancing around in my chair during a lot of the songs and the whole album just screams 'sing along'. Can't wait to hear these songs live and in person!
Cori Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Okay, I just listened to the first halves of Loss of Control and Rusty James, so I didn't completely cave in, but...umm...wow. Next Tuesday needs to hurry up and get here so I can put this album on full blast from my stereo.

SynthwaveTrooper Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 actually yeah, now I listen more closely. i hate to rewind 9 times to make sure, lmao
Tooooooooooooom Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I've always thought Oh Love would be a great album track/closer but a shit single. Problem is there's so much anger at it being a lead single that people can't see it for the epic-as-it-needs-to-be-for-a-pop-punk-record album closer!!!
holyshitaflyingbanna Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I don't get why people just don't listen to the album now... you can find it quite easily in great quality (and don't give me the "I don't pirate music" shtick, I understand when its a small local artist but come on its one of the biggest bands in the world COME ON)

GreenCard Yellow Day Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Hey guys, been lurking here for a while and decided to make an account. I pre-ordered the albums already so I figured, What the hey, and downloaded the leak. I'm pleased. The album sounds like Nimrod and Warning with a small hint of American Idiot. The high points of the album would have to be Stay The Night, Carpe Diem, Fell For You, and Loss of Control. The only songs I don't really like are Troublemaker, Rusty James, and Oh Love. Currently in iDos! Hype mode!
Godspeeding Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 This is like some modern mix of Kerplunk and Nimrod i am absolutely in love with this album. Absolutely beautiful.

holyshitaflyingbanna Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Yes you´re right and If you buy the Album it´s not dammage for the band yeah, and just think of how much you pay for the concerts and the shits etc. nothing is going to happen if you listen to the album a week before it comes out
SynthwaveTrooper Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Good find, can't hear a B sound in that. i still hear "eak" in it. We wont know who is ring until we get the official lyrics lol
