Guest Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Oh Love is actually not a bad song when listened to right after Rusty James. It adds some nice contrast to the end of the evening, and does kind of leave you amped up wanting more. Something I wish they would have done with these albums: make a Pink Floyd-esque "circle" out of them. Uno leads musically into Dos, Dos leads musically into Tre, and Tre leads musically into Uno. Consider "The Wall," where the last lyrics of "Outside the Wall" are "Isn't this where--", then the beginning of the first track, "In the Flesh" is a direct continuation of "Outside the Wall", right down to the barely-audible words, "--we came in?". Makes a circle. It would be very cool to hear that on a much larger scale.
Cori Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I caved and listened to Fell For You and Angel Blue because those were the two I wanted to hear most that I'd already heard part of. OH MY. These two songs are AMAZING. I'm thinking about holding off and listening to the rest next Tuesday. I haven't heard Loss of Control and Sweet 16 yet and I think it'd be sort of cool to hear them first time blasting from my stereo with the CD playing.
Iminyourcoffeemaker Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Don't care for Loss Of Control but other than that, I think the album is fantastic. Very different but still great. I love the guitar solos. You never hear them now a days. Also, the lack of production is pretty nice. Everything sounds perfect, there isn't a bunch of piano and strings which bothered me on 21CB, and the backing vocals are great as well. I'd give it a 4.5.However, I'd give American Idiot a 5.5 and Dookie a 5.
AwfulHomesick Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Finally able to sit down and listen to it while eating Cheez-Its. There is no way this day can get better. Goldfish?
Dori_Epiphone Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Sweet 16 is pretty cool but I miss a great refrain

Fuzz Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 You all are a bunch of pirates Maybe this is a bit premature but do you all think Warner is in on it Why would they want people sharing the music illegally rather than streaming from some place where they can track and count it up.
