i think we heard you the first time... why keep interjecting in a conversation about the leak saying you refuse to listen to it? you should go "hashtag" somewhere else

Since there are others in the same boat as me.

I'm good on that breh. come at me.

The solo rescues the whole song. Troublemaker is one of my favorites :D

Well it's not one of my favourites, but the solo is still badass and epic! :D

i had to google tinnitus. it sounds miserable. thanks for the advice! break time for me.

It is. Don't abuse your ears when you're young, because you pay for it in your 20's.

Hahaha you just made an EPIC WIN

We should start a rumor that there's a lost Mariachi Version of Uno out there.

My opinion for Green Day songs change so much once i read the lyrics, so, lyrics maybe? haha I will wait to the booklet though, just joking :)

"With the first album you're getting in the mood to party"

Well, they were right, I'm organizing a party tonight and you all are invited, clothes are not required as always

...You mean it's only a rumor?

Well, it would be EPIC. Can you imagine the Mariachi version of Stay The Night?

No.

Damn, i just posted youtube links to avoid things like this, man!!!!

Do not post or ask for download links. Youtube vids of all songs can be found a page or so earlier in this thread.

With that out of the way, guys, much as I dislike Kill the DJ, Troublemaker and Oh Love by themselves, they all work with the album, and sound better for it.

I couldnt resist. In all honesty I was expecting the album to be just around the corner when they played that Tiki Bar show last year so I feel I have waited long enough! This is definatly the most pleased Ive been with a Green Day album since Nimrod. It is very stripped down and melodic just like the old Green Day i fell in love with. They dont hold back on the pop which is great, Green Day have always been great at writing pop melodies. At the moment my favorites are Nuclear Family, Stay The Night, Fell For You, Loss of Control and Rusty James.

This whole album is just beautiful and perfect.

Good call. I think I'll go back ONE PAGE and copy the link to your post.

I've also figured out why Carpe Diem sounds so off to me--it uses the exact same riff and melody as Before the Lobotomy. That's ok, BTL is a catchy tune, but it's a little disappointing to see GD largely copy a song off of their last album.

Thank God I don't have to wait another week! Listening to it right now, it's all kinds of awesome, pure quintessential Green Day :D!

I'd type the lyrics out (because I like reading them too) but after mistaking "fuck fucking with my head now" for "butt fucking with my head now" I'm probably not the best person to do so. :P

I can't see how that's not an improvement.

Fucking powerful.

What really stood out to me was how hard those instruments are being played, maximum strength, 100%. Fucking powerful music.

Love it, even though I had heard all songs but one in various forms it was still a lot to take in and I feel a bit in shock or something tbh!

Love them all but my absolute faves on first listen, Angel Blue, Sweet 16, Fell For You & Kill The DJ.

The second thing that hit me was how present it all is... It feels like the band are right here with me playing and it seems to be the best look into Billie Joe's brain, day-to-day out of all their albums. You have his love and admiration for Adie, past and present, his previous loves, his enemies and all the things that piss him off, current issues/affairs and hello?! Rusty James is all about him and his fucking band. It made me cry just how beautiful and sombre it was. Green Day really are the fucking last gang in town and it was so cool and personal to get a real view into their world.

There's a certain lyric in Angel Blue that almost made me throw up in how hard it hit me! I mean this in a good way, don't worry. But man...powerful!

Can't wait for Dos! :D

Loss Of Control musically reminds me of My Perfect Cousin by The Undertones!

Posted

In all honesty, Dos is the one I was really looking forward to. To have Uno be this surprisingly good makes me really optimistic for Dos. Now, please, GD. Let's have "It's Fuck Time" as the lead single. :D

The stream on 20 Minuten Online can go and suck it's thing dick. The persons actually listening to it shrunk... a little.
