WhatsUpLucas Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I'm not sure if you're serious or just contradicting the whole massive amount of people just to start a flame war ._. I'm serious. I like the mix of Dookie and Warning that Loss of Control is. I don't like the slowness of Stay the Night. It's not a bad song, it just does not make me feel like I felt when I listened to Troublemaker, which was 'AWWWWWWWW FUCK YEAH'.
Sarcasm Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I just think it's too... meh. Not a thrust-butt song. You mean bum-thrust. Andres got it wrong when he said it on SN.
blitzkriegdeb Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Yeah, I think Stay The Night and Oh Love were the weakest for me. My favorites are Carpe Diem, Troublemaker, and Sweet 16. But even the bad ones aren't "unlistenable" awful, just songs I'll probably skip over more than the others.
drugstore hooligan Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Finshed listening. Its almost like being transported back to the 90s. So much energy. I love it. And Oh Love sounds even better in the context of the album. But as of now im not listening to anything from Dos or Tre as i want the next two to be a bit more of a suprise.
live freaky die freaky Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 stay the night: "I say ehhhhh ohhhh." Fucking Perfect

AleKerplunk Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I was going to resist... fuck it. I love Rusty James and Loss of Control
BlackBaboon Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I never thought I'd hear another Green Day album that sounded like this. I'm really glad they're doing the whole trilogy idea now because I needed an album like this to get away from all the hip hop and soft rock playing all around me.
Sarcasm Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Can someone send me the link to tdriscoll1983@gmail.com? No we can't. And you're not supposed to ask.
billiejoephil Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I'm actually patient enough to wait for the official release. Deal with it.
Elena Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 hehe and i didn't even listen to it yet...from what i know (and it's a lot anyways, also cos i've heard a lot live versions) it's great, but i'll wait till September 20st till i listen to it (the album is most probably a day earlier in the shop i wanna buy it from )
GuitarPunk94 Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 But as of now im not listening to anything from Dos or Tre as i want the next two to be a bit more of a suprise. i gonna follow your advice (before the actual release, i listened to most songs of UNO (dont know how this will actually affect my first-time-listening to it this friday)...i know just 1-2 songs of DOS and 1-2 of TRÉ...and this time i wont listen to leaks and not even to 'official' single releases (just the 3rd downloadable one we will get (the ones who preordered the ultimate bundle set))
Comic Sans Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 here is mine... Nuclear Family: 10/10 Stay The Night: 9.5/10 Carpe Diem: 8.7/10 Let Yourself Go: 8/10 Kill the DJ: 10/10 Fell For You: 9/10 Loss Of Control: 9.5/10 Troublemaker: 9/10 Angel Blue: 9/10 Sweet 16: 9/10 Rusty James: 9/10 Oh Love: 5.5/10 Oh Love 5.5/10?
SamMacs Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 It feels weird not listening to it when everybody does. But I will try to resist the temptation even though I'll have to wait. it's much more fun hearing it from the stereo with the book in my hands. Glad to see that so many people seems to love it, I'm sure I will too
SynthwaveTrooper Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Oh Love 5.5/10? lol yup, the only song i skip.
Khris Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I thought carpe diem and let yourself go, and troublemaker really really sucked. Worst Green Day songs i've ever heard unfortunately And i'm not saying that to piss you guys off, just being honest haha.
blitzkriegdeb Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I have to say, it makes me so happy seeing Billie's stupid smug face pop up on my phone
Guest Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Early observations: 1. I'm only on track two, and Nuclear Family remains blah. Stay the Night, though, just may be my favorite non-opera GD song This needs to be the song that replaces Minority as the set closer. It's just so fucking catchy and solid. Classic Green Day guitar sound around a 60's rock rhythm. Fucking fuck, guys, I just heard the ending. Holy fucking shit, this might be the best GD song I've heard period since JOS. It's just such a great beat, a well-constructed song around it. Fuck me sideways with a lunchbox, that needs to close Green Day sets forever. 2. Still kind of blah on Nuclear Family. 3. Since I'm into Carpet Diet now, I'll say that it's got another fun Clash-y riff. Decent pop-punk stuff. Edit: CARPET DIET GUITAR SOLO OMG
Elena Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 well, i'll hear the album in 3 days from CD...i guess that's why i can wait ...and well, i won't have a bad week @sampy
