StuckWithRob Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 This may be a dumb question but has there been a Green Day song that wasn't a single that actually made it really big in the mainsteam? I've always been curious about this. Going to Pasalacqua often gets played at concerts and was played on TV at least once King for a Day is frequently played at concerts And I also think that Ha Ha You're Dead is suprisingly well known
Asa. Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 On te ¡Dos! Wikipedia page it says that the album is released on iTunes 4 days early, on the 9th. Has anyone heard anything about this?

Todd Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Is the pedestrian music video that's on youtube official?
DannyDirnt Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Facepalm. No offense, but are you the person that posted here that they played Green Day's "My Generation" at the olympics? Lol
Hermione Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Is the pedestrian music video that's on youtube official? Not really. The band knew that the person who made it was making it, but they didn't have any input into it and it was never guaranteed that they'd use it. In the end they chose not to, so it was neither made by nor approved by the band and therefore I wouldn't call it official. The guy who made just posted it online himself separately from the band.
PunkRocks and Coke Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Did Billie actually say this? If so, where? I saw it on tumblr, so I figured I'd ask you guys... "Don't sweat the small stuff. It's good to let chaos take over, and know in your heart everything will be alright eventually."
green day is Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Does that even happen, with any artist? Stairway to fucking Heaven.
BestArtgal Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Well, if they are getting divorced, please consider me, I am an Ox sign and BJA is a Rat sign which means it would be a happy marriage. LOL.
Mary711 Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Well, if they are getting divorced, please consider me, I am an Ox sign and BJA is a Rat sign which means it would be a happy marriage. LOL. Whut?
farley drexel hatcher Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Well, if they are getting divorced, please consider me, I am an Ox sign and BJA is a Rat sign which means it would be a happy marriage. LOL. What the hell? There's nothing in this thread that even prompted this ...
Tre_Cool_is_cool Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Are there any original, non-cover songs that they have only played live once?
Asa. Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Are there any original, non-cover songs that they have only played live once? I think Horseshoes and Handgrenades and Peacemaker were only played once.
green day is Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Are there any original, non-cover songs that they have only played live once? Then there's World Vs. World, Minnesota Girl, and You Can't Fool Me, which have been played twice each.
greenjoc Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 I was wondering if someone has the poster of Billie in kerrang of October 10th
WhiteTim Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 I think Horseshoes and Handgrenades and Peacemaker were only played once. They were played at least 4 times in April 2009
Liam Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 Not really. In the end they chose not to, so it was neither made by nor approved by the band and therefore I wouldn't call it official. The guy who made just posted it online himself separately from the band. I was not aware of that I thought it was a legit video club because its posted in the downloads section and on GDA. Oh well I still count it as an official clip, its pretty damn good
Stephanie. Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 Anyone figured out any chords for The Forgotten?
Hermione Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 I was not aware of that I thought it was a legit video club because its posted in the downloads section and on GDA. Oh well I still count it as an official clip, its pretty damn good Yeah the guy made it for them but they turned it down. I think at the time Bill S might've come on and confirmed that it's not official/endorsed by the band (not sure though). Can't find out if that's the case or not as the search doesn't go back as far as 2008, but here's a post by Andres explaining it when someone asked about it in 2009: http://www.greendaycommunity.org/topic/71474-pedestrian-music-video/#entry3090880 Quite a cool video but not official
solongfromthestars Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 What the hell? There's nothing in this thread that even prompted this ... They must have thought this thread is for sending questions to Green Day or something.
green day is Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 Why are the vocals on Shenanigans so quiet? They're really not. Considering they weren't recorded at the same time, there should be no reason for that to happen consistently through them. If you're using an equalizer on your sound system try messing with that a little.
Tre_Cool_is_cool Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Does the band still talk to John Kiffmeyer? And is it safe to say that they wouldn't be where they are today if it weren't for him? Is it true that they probably would never have gotten a gig at Gilman Street if it weren't for him?
Todd Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Does the band still talk to John Kiffmeyer? And is it safe to say that they wouldn't be where they are today if it weren't for him? Is it true that they probably would never have gotten a gig at Gilman Street if it weren't for him? The second one is true, the last one, nobody knows for sure, and the first one, nobody knows at all. up to 2000, they didn't talk to him. but I haven't seen an interview about John from recent times
