Green Day Q&A Thread

It's something I've seen thrown around an awful lot on the forum, couldn't tell you a good source for it though.

Not unless you're bald and can pull off a silly hat, but if you can, hired.

The latter: definitely. The former: can I shave my head?

That is an agreeable proposition. Learn sax too, while you're at it.

Stuck With Me, maybe. It has an official video but no one ever talks about it.

Is Stuck With Me meant to be obscure? It's on International Supervideos, as far as I knew it wasn't unheard of.

When?

Just after two minutes in, he completely misses his cue coming back in on guitar on "The motto was just a lie."

I dunno, no one ever talks about it when talking about Green Day videos. I don't think most people even know it was a single.

Weird. That said, it's not like it's usually particularly clear what they've released as singles. I love the Stuck With Me video in any case.

Yeah, up until AI their single choice was never very obvious :P

Or after AI, let's be honest.

Or during AI, for that matter. I love JOS to death, but no. Just no. We could have had a music video for "Are We the Waiting/St. Jimmy" or "Whatsername", but no, let's go with the nine-minute epic that has to be gutted for radio play.

I think we just meant obvious as in anyone being aware of what they were. As terrible a choice as JOS was, everyone knew it was a single :P

The radio version of JOS actually ruined the song for me for a long time. It's clearly one of the best things they've ever written but it was just butchered. And the video sucks. Ugh.

Ahhhh. Gotcha.

I am actually downright offended at how bad the Whatsername in that video is. *shudders*

I've listened to that so many times and never noticed

Me too. And the Jesus, for that matter. I love Synyster Gates but a clone of him trying as hard to be punk as Tman tries to be a mod does not belong in a Green Day video.

If Green Day don't tour America soon, I'm gonna form a Green Day cover band with dangreenday as Billie Joe, Tomnomnomnomnom on bass, me on lead guitar, and a coked up badger on drums, and tour America as The Green Days. We're gonna make bank.

I'll play harmonica and wear the bunny suit

I've only heard it very recently and I'm not sure there is a source. Since all the rehab stuff people seem to be throwing around a lot of silly "facts" and theories about Billie and the band :P

He mentioned his stage fright in RS said drinking was the way to open up to the crowd (im paraphrasing that part)

On a Blink forum people were talking about MTV airing a special called 1998 rarest music videos in 1998 and 2006. There was one for "Voyeur" by Blink and someone said there was a Green Day video. Anyone know what song would have a video that didn't get released?

I'd say Last Ride In, but that came out 99, right? Maybe the Welcome to Paradise video since that was UK-only

Last Ride In came out in 1997.

You didn't specify :P Plus, that's the last song I'd expect to have a music video.

Other than F*** Time, of course.

We were talking about music videos though... Why would I need to specify when that was the topic?

(and how do you not know your music videos :P)

I saw that in F.Y.E. like a year ago. I never heard of it before then.
