Liam Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 On a Blink forum people were talking about MTV airing a special called 1998 rarest music videos in 1998 and 2006. There was one for "Voyeur" by Blink and someone said there was a Green Day video. Anyone know what song would have a video that didn't get released? My guess would either be "Maria" or "Poprocks and Coke"

Antonium2200 Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 My issue with Reading was how many mistakes he made in his guitar playing. I thought his voice was fine, but he missed loads of guitar cues, most notably in Jesus Of Suburbia, and obviously messed Waiting up spectacularly. He was on fire at Brixton a couple of days before, though, so I've no idea what that was all about. I remember watching that performance at Reading, and my thoughts on Waiting and JOS was, well, how many songs did they play that night? He's probably tired or whatever. The throwing the guitar down and destroying it though, that was funny. c:

It was just weird to see that, he's usually very tight when it comes to his rhythm playing.
Spike Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 No one knows yet, nothing has been announced. It could be a while.
Guest Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 If Green Day don't tour America soon, I'm gonna form a Green Day cover band with dangreenday as Billie Joe, Tomnomnomnomnom on bass, me on lead guitar, and a coked up badger on drums, and tour America as The Green Days. We're gonna make bank.
alexandra_1039 Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 sorry im behind..but what was wrong with JOS at reading? i didnt notice anything, then again i only watched it the one time when i live streamed it
The Pedestrian Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 Hey, does anybody know how to play the Fuck time solo from Cuatro? Not very good at figuring these things out myself, and can’t find one anywhere on here... Cheers http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SUeefOD2pKw
Jon Benjamin Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 Haha whoops, completely missed the year. This is probably something we should start searching for. Is this big enough for it's own topic?

Hermione Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 Billie seems absolutely fine on stage to me, and he's always been one to forget words and lose track of songs occasionally, it's hardly anything new. Pretty sure if the rehab thing hadn't happened no one would be making these "observations". Well that just makes the fact that he's so awful live these days all the more puzzling. Maybe it's a reappearance of his notorious stage fright, or it's just age and a lifetime of shitty vocal care catching up on him. Yeah I just used Rock am Ring show because there's fuck all good pro-shot footage apart from Reading and World Stage. World Stage is dreadful too, but Reading was at least a slight improvement. Never heard of this notorious stage fright but if he has it he's never shown it!
Spike Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 I don't know if this can be considered stage fright in the 'traditional' sense, but there we go.
Hermione Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 I don't know if this can be considered stage fright in the 'traditional' sense, but there we go. Hmm I think that was just being scared to play new material without having put it out on CD first for the first time in 20 years (and even that didn't stop him doing it and doing it fabulously well!). He probably has said he's felt stage fright at some point or another (I think nearly all performers say that), but what I'm saying is it isn't something that's known to or appears to affect his performances, never seen him looking like anything other than a born frontman exuding confidence on stage (with one exception lol)
Guest Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 Never heard of this notorious stage fright but if he has it he's never shown it! It's something I've seen thrown around an awful lot on the forum, couldn't tell you a good source for it though. Need a keyboardist? Not unless you're bald and can pull off a silly hat, but if you can, hired.
Hermione Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 It's something I've seen thrown around an awful lot on the forum, couldn't tell you a good source for it though. I've only heard it very recently and I'm not sure there is a source. Since all the rehab stuff people seem to be throwing around a lot of silly "facts" and theories about Billie and the band

Since all the rehab stuff people seem to be throwing around a lot of silly "facts" and theories about Billie and the band I've been hearing it for almost a year now on a semi-regular basis and this is the first time I've ever heard it being called out so I just assumed it was true

I doubt he's like Ricky Wilson when it comes to stage fright, throwing up immediately before going on stage, etc. Also, Billie looks like my dad in that video. Terrifying.

When? and cant forget that awkward philadelphia show in april where he was almost completely silent during the entire first verse of holiday because he forgot the words. how can you forget holiday?! lol That was my first Green Day concert and I found that hilarious Stuck With Me, maybe. It has an official video but no one ever talks about it. I never knew that!
