It looks like glitch art. Also, while I'm at it, since this search brought me to this video in the first place, has anyone yet compiled a playlist of all the best recorded bits of the musical? I've been wondering about that lately.

In Cuatro, it showed how the songs moved around over time, so they definitely just chose which album for each song after.

So there is a right or wrong answer But yeah, in Cuatro there's a long scene of them agonising over what songs to put where. They didn't come up with the concept of three different themes until after at least some of the songs were recorded.
