More likely to be Tre as drummer usually keep count and we saw him count it in the Heart Like a Hand Grenade preview on youtube.

That background 1234 is shouted by Tré as far as I'm aware. He has also shouted the 1234 in Jinx on Nimrod, and several others I'm sure.
