Bastard of 1969 Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 That can't be 1997, Tré is wearing a warning shirt, so possibly 2001-2002 But they performed that for "The Influences" show, which was aired only in 1997.
Todd Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 That's 2000, for sure. I'd like to take it out of my bonus tracks album an put it in as a show date, do you think you could do some research and we could put it in the live guide?
Spike Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 Influences only aired in 1997. It was definitely then. Tre's tshirt means nothing, it's a fairly generic design. They could have easily just adopted it when they decided to name Warning. It has to have been 1997.
UnoDosTreCuatro Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 Hey someone who is a Green Day fan told me that billie joe said that the next album is to be their last. Is this true, or is there any link to where he says this?

Guest Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 If not artificially, then by plucking a string and turning the signal from the guitar on and off. In morse code, it translates to AWAWAWAW. Ie; it's just following a rhythm. However, in the background of American Eulogy, a morse code message can be heard saying "We are the class of '13". That line is from American Eulogy, bud. I think he knows
UnoDosTreCuatro Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 ty i thought so just needed confirmation
Certified Nimrod Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 I think he knows Well, that wasn't the person's question.
Guest Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 Well, that wasn't the person's question. The first part was.
Certified Nimrod Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 The first part was. Crap. I didn't see the whole thing.
Spike Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 Does Mr Dirnt have a verified Twitter? Also, question from my mother: Are Green Day named after a Weightwatchers diet? *kills self*
AlissaGoesRAWR Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 Also, question from my mother: Are Green Day named after a Weightwatchers diet? *kills self* Ha, considering they're named after weed, I'd say that's an anti-diet.
green day is Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 [ignore this post and give us a delete option] >doing the delete thing >after someone quotes you I shiggy.
Certified Nimrod Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 >doing the delete thing >after someone quotes you I shiggy. I have no idea what a shiggy is, but I did that because I realized I messed up and didn't want to look rude and/or stupid.
Hermione Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 [ignore this post and give us a delete option] No need when it takes me roughly 3 seconds to delete it. One of the reasons there isn't one is because of the mess it could create during a discussion with people quoting and deleting stuff.

One of the reasons there isn't one is because of the mess it could create during a discussion with people quoting and deleting stuff. The only problem I've ever seen with delete buttons on forums are old threads where half the posts are gone, because the user found them and was embarrassed by their old self. Or something. This is easily remedied by having a time frame in which you're allowed to delete (twenty-four hours, usually). This isn't the place for this, though.

Anyone who wants to can post about this in the GDC Feedback & Help section if they want. A word of warning that I'm pretty certain it's not something that's going to be added any time soon though.

Is this true, or is there any link to where he says this? If this may reassure you even further, it seems like the main thing they want to do at the moment is make more albums. According to Mike anyway. It's very positive and worth a read - http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/news/general_music_news/green_day_bassist_talks_future_its_important_to_make_more_records.html

Spike Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 Obviously Mike has done interviews and spoken of Billie's substance problems and stuff since last year, but has Tre ever publicly commented on it? Just wondering, I can't remember reading anything from him.
jacknovella Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Do we know how Bullet In A Bible got its name? I know there's a clip of the band at the museum in London and the lady mentions the bible with a bullet in it...but is that where they got the name from or was the lady mentioning it because she knew that's what they were filming for?

As far as I know they got the name from their visit to the Imperial War Museum, which is obviously documented on the DVD. I'm assuming they chose it because it fits in with the whole political/war theme of American Idiot, Holiday, the video for WMUWSE etc.
Jhei Morisato Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 "Mayday this is not a test, as the neighborhood burns America is falling" It may be hard to hear, I just know of it from the multitracks. i can't hear it. I just heard something like that from the last part, (I don't wanna live in the modern world/ mass hysteria)
Guest Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 could someone tell me what singles there were off the trilogy & how many variations of each (different cases, b-sides, colours etc)?
JellyTime Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 could someone tell me what singles there were off the trilogy & how many variations of each (different cases, b-sides, colours etc)? Oh Love, Kill The DJ, Let Yourself Go (only digitally) and Stray Heart. There are few variations of Oh Love (European and Japanese single and promos from various countries). Kill The DJ and Stray Heart were released only as promo versions.
