Hermione Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 Yeah, it's 4 holes. I can play both versions easily. And have you heard Kathleen? That's pretty expert for harmonica. Does he only play a 10 hole harmonica live? that could be the case too. Oh I don't know anything about harmonicas. I was just going by the fact that whenever I've watched him play it he does lots of changing it/improvising, and that although it sounds good not all of it sounds, like, technically perfect. But yeah I guess it's more complicated when he plays it live so it probably is that he just wants to play it differently rather than any lack of skill.
Punkfreak1414 Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 Anyone else think oh love would have been better if it was tre? Tre was suppose to be more of the "epic" songs and I see oh love as a arena rock song. And is there any songs that you guys think would of been better on another album from the trilogy?
Jon Benjamin Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 Green Day recorded all the instrumentals on the Broadway soundtrack right?
Bastard of 1969 Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 Green Day recorded all the instrumentals on the Broadway soundtrack right? Well, yea, but when they do suprise performances on Broadway, then it's not instrumental (that part when they play songs). Anyone else think oh love would have been better if it was tre? Kill the DJ is also epic.

Certified Nimrod Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 Was American Idiot (The Original Broadway Cast Recording) recorded in a studio or at a performance of the show? Did he really smash a guitar again? If so, does anyone have a video or a pic of it? Yes. He messed up the chords to Waiting. (So, it wasn't drunken rage.) No, I don't have pictures or videos, I read it on setlist.fm.

Hermione Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 Did he really smash a guitar again? If so, does anyone have a video or a pic of it? As far as I've heard it wasn't working right so he just got a bit annoyed and dropped it on the ground, there was no smashing. He's got annoyed with his guitar/equipment not working and been rough with it during shows countless times before, it's really no big deal. Have a read back through the last couple of pages of the Reading thread to hear the details: http://www.greendaycommunity.org/topic/92866-20130823-reading-england-reading-festival/page-108#entry5427441
MaraGreenDay Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 Did he really smash a guitar again? If so, does anyone have a video or a pic of it? Not really, he just through it away cause it seems it wasn't working, he didn't smash it or destroyed, actually it's kind of funny here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebyBKD542ng&feature=player_embedded#t=0
Certified Nimrod Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 Wait, which guitar did he break? I don't know.

Thisnamehasnoreason Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 How is Jeff Matika lucky enough to gain the right to interview everyone from Green Day, was it just planned by Warner? or is their something else to it?
Cath Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 How is Jeff Matika lucky enough to gain the right to interview everyone from Green Day, was it just planned by Warner? or is their something else to it? i don't think it has anything to do with Warner. they're just doing it for fun between friends why would they need an approval?
Thisnamehasnoreason Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 i don't think it has anything to do with Warner. they're just doing it for fun between friends why would they need an approval? Its not that they need approval, its just he is lucky as hell to get to interview them all.
Jon Benjamin Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Its not that they need approval, its just he is lucky as hell to get to interview them all.Im pretty sure Jason and Jeff don't feel "left out" they seem like they all fit in just as well as any of their other friends
Iva Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 It would be fair if Jeff interviewed himself at the very end. I demand it.
