AlissaGoesRAWR Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 They're called proxies mate. Use them. I thought you can use the link even if you're not in the UK?
Todd Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 lol, remember when that person tried arguing that Billie was a natural ginger? I hope this doesn't turn into that again
tdlyon Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 I think his natural hair color is like reddish brown.
green day is Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 It's black. Why are we even arguing this? He doesn't dye his roots black when it's growing back from blonde.
SumDay Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 http://studentsoftheworld.info/sites/music/img/3488_nothin%2074.JPG For me, it looks like it's brown. But yeha like you said, no arguing needed. And I think you're older than me so I guess you know them better
Iva Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 This might be a stupid question, but what is actually Joey's middle name/what was the last name of Billie's paternal grandmother? I've seen both Marciano and Marcicano. (WTF, Chrome wanted to change this to Carcinoma... O_O)

IcyMoffatt Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 I would like to know where I can find the scans from Billie Joe's interview in the RollingStone magazine. My cousins would like to read it, but, even if I have the magazine, they live very far away from my house. So, if anyone has the scans, I would like to have the links so I can send them by email to my cousins. If no one has them, I will try to take photos of the magazine for my cousins, but I don't think they will be as clear as scans.

Hermione Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Black. It's not, it's brown. You can see from photos of him as a teenager that it's dark brown, seen a few of him as an adult with a dodgy black dye job where you can still see bits of brown too. He said it himself in an interview, "boring brown" was his exact description. As for roots, dark brown roots just look black against blond hair. The roots are the darkest part of the hair, that plus the contrast makes it look that way. lol, remember when that person tried arguing that Billie was a natural ginger? I hope this doesn't turn into that again Haha yeah, I remember when I first got into Green Day I got a magazine with a list of "facts" about them with one that said he's naturally ginger and believed it for a while. It's because when he was little it was reddish light brown. You can see from photos that all the red had gone and it had got much darker by the time he was a teenager though.

That's what's cool about kids- their hair color and eye color can change. So if your kid comes out looking like your partner and not you, there's always hope that they'll change (unless you're really ugly and you want your kids to look like your partner lol)

Certified Nimrod Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Why is the character in American Idiot called the Jesus of Suburbia?
Cath Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Why is the character in American Idiot called the Jesus of Suburbia? jesus because he feels like he's above and superior to people in his town (because he feels he doesn't belong there) suburbia because he wants to quit the suburbia to go in the city and try to find a better place that was a poor explanation sorry
AlissaGoesRAWR Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 here: And those scans are mine from my family's stone age computer/scanner, so I apologize for any shitty quality.
Iva Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Regarding the 14th March 2013 Rolling Stone scans, they're bigger on the website, here: http://www.greendayauthority.com/articles/176/1/ I can make them even bigger, up to 1600 pixels wide, if anybody is interested. Not diminishing anybody else's efforts, just offering help. Anyone have a higher res scan of this?http://https://fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn1/534956_10151688935539900_1687200296_n.png http://www.greendaycommunity.org/topic/94675-green-day-on-the-cover-of-kerrang/?p=5421200
Certified Nimrod Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Where was the Last Night On Earth live video filmed?
Liam Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 How can I start a new forum? Do you mean a forum or a thread? If you mean a thread than go to the top of a sub forum and click "Create new topic". Also next time, ask this in the GDC Help thread.
Punkfreak1414 Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Does anyone have the original pictures taken from the bands iPhones that were used for the covers of the trilogy? (:
bollard_11 Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 This is probably the best place to ask. Last night at Brixton I saw a couple of people wearing a black shirt with red sleeves with stars on it. It had a huge adeline logo on the back and a green day logo on the front. Billie does wear it from time to time. Obviously it's available for purchase but where does anybody know?
Todd Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 Hey, who plays the harmonica when they do Minority live, and why do they do the harmonica different than the studio version when they play it live?
Hermione Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 Hey, who plays the harmonica when they do Minority live, and why do they do the harmonica different than the studio version when they play it live? Billie. I think it's just because it's an easy instrument to improvise on so he has a bit of fun changing it and messing around, it's just kind of natural to improvise on a harmonica. And possibly also because he's not that skilled at playing it, might be tricky to reproduce the studio version exactly. But I think mostly the first reason.

I can play both versions easily. And have you heard Kathleen? That's pretty expert for harmonica. Does he only play a 10 hole harmonica live? that could be the case too.
