green day is Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 This is a really random question but does anyone know if Billie styles his own hair or does he have someone else do it? It really depends on the situation.
bagelfeet Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 It really depends on the situation. What do you mean like what event he's going to?
green day is Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 What do you mean like what event he's going to? I mean whether he's going to an event at all, he's a grown man. TV shows probably do his hair for him along with his make up, while concerts and shit he probably does his own. And even then he could do his own for TV sometimes, or people could do it for him for concerts sometimes. We don't just know every little detail about the band.
Todd Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 Didn't it show him doing his own makeup and hair in BIAB?
stuart_and_the_ave Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 I believe those people's tweets (that I followed from this board, but no idea whose accounts) were from May 31st this year; so I guess that was the soundcheck for the UK show...? Thanks for the rest, assumed it was something fair. I think people could hear the soundcheck from outside the Emirates stadium so maybe it was that?
green day is Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 Didn't it show him doing his own makeup and hair in BIAB? Who cares? It doesn't answer the question, that would be one time. The only answer we have is "Probably sometimes".
LazyPhil Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 This is a really random question but does anyone know if Billie styles his own hair or does he have someone else do it? He has someone else do it for him. Believe it or not but back when I was living in Cali my neighbor was friends with his hairdresser. And Billie has the same hairdresser as Anthony Kiedis and Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers

Jon Benjamin Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 Did Sweet Children pay royalties for My Generation before it was on Kerplunk?
Todd Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 Did Sweet Children pay royalties for My Generation before it was on Kerplunk? You mean did Green Day pay The Who royalties for recording My Generation and puttin it out on their Sweet Children EP?
Jon Benjamin Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 You mean did Green Day pay The Who royalties for recording My Generation and puttin it out on their Sweet Children EP?yeah I kinda clusterfucked that but yeah that's what I meant haha
WhiteTim Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 Did Sweet Children pay royalties for My Generation before it was on Kerplunk? They have to they had to get permission otherwise they'd gotten sued (as Pete Townsend loves to and is very quick to sue bands who uses his songs without permission) Legally speaking if you perform another artists songs be it live or studio you have to get permission from the songs copywrite owners if it studio and for a project that is for sale the royalties goes to the copywrite owners same goes for live shows that get released (aka Awesome As Fuck)
Iva Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 I think people could hear the soundcheck from outside the Emirates stadium so maybe it was that? Yup, could be. But the way they made it sound, it seemed real.

WhiteTim Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 Lol, So how would a local bar band go about getting permission for covering all the songs they play? Well legally they are supposed to but noone has the time to check and 99% of the time they dont care about concerts at bars or venues Now if they were to release a cd for sale for profit and they didnt get the clearance the band would be open for copywrite infrigment lawsuits
Punkfreak1414 Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 Why doesn't green day use the amps they used to record the trilogy live? So that there guitar sound like the albums more? And then when it comes to older stuff just switch to the dookie mod?

StuckWithInsomnia Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 For proshot live video in 2013 we have Rock am Ring, Pinkpop, Montreux Jazz Festival, and ONE Campaign/Bologna. Edit: And also that video of the first part of 99 Revolutions. Is there any I have missed?

fatherotti Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 Was is it ever known where Poprocks and Coke came from? I always originally thought it was a Warning outtake.
tdlyon Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 Was is it ever known where Poprocks and Coke came from? I always originally thought it was a Warning outtake. I think they made it just for International Superhits. I could be wrong though.
fatherotti Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 I think they made it just for International Superhits. I could be wrong though. It was recorded before Superhits I think, just like Maria was originally a Warning outtake that was rerecorded for the album. Although Superhits lists both Maria and Poprocks as "Previously Unreleased", Poprocks was really the only song, truly unreleased. Besides that, Poprocks and Coke sounds wayyy too much like Church On Sunday, I think they were recorded back to back.
Certified Nimrod Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 How did they make all of the funky sounds in Wow! That's Loud?
