green day is Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Then he just didn't know it was alcohol and when he realized it decided to pick the other. Not at all surprising. I'm getting a bit tired of fanboys and fangirls screaming every time he almost kind of sort of might get a little close to alcohol sometimes.
Ham Pascale Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Can someone tell me which bass Mike using on these caps? I guess this is Ibanez, but does anyone knows exactly?

Hermione Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Gentlemen, we have officially reached the next level of fanboyism. Caring about the little umbrellas in their fucking drinks. Could you reduce the number of unnecessarily dickish comments you make in here please? On the subject of Tre's umbrellas I'm sure I remember an article from a couple of years ago where they said it was to keep the sparks from the pyro out of his drink . Maybe the habit just stuck
green day is Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Could you reduce the number of unnecessarily dickish comments you make in here please? If people stop asking unnecessarily stupid questions then yeah.
Liam Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 If people stop asking unnecessarily stupid questions then yeah. That's the point in this thread though.
Bastard of 1969 Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 That's the point in this thread though. Yea, if someone wants to answer questions, then answer it. No need to be a dick!
fatherotti Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Is vinyl crackle normal? My 21st CB vinyl rip has some noticeable crackle but it actually makes some of the songs sound awesome. For example during the fade out of "See The Light"....the crackle increases as the piano fades and it sounds just incredible.

For example during the fade out of "See The Light"....the crackle increases as the piano fades and it sounds just incredible. It's normal in vinyl as it's the result of either the vinyl not being clean (dust and such) and the needle not being clean. I suggest researching it a bit and finding products that help clean vinyl really well, and if you're still having the popping and crackle then replace the needle.

fatherotti Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 To properly convert FLAC to MP3's one must go WAV first right? As that results in less quality loss?
green day is Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 To properly convert FLAC to MP3's one must go WAV first right? As that results in less quality loss? Seriously doubt it, but this isn't Green Day related.
Todd Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 To properly convert FLAC to MP3's one must go WAV first right? As that results in less quality loss? No, I think the more conversions you do to one file, the more quality loss.
green day is Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 No, I think the more conversions you do to one file, the more quality loss. Not if you convert from lossless to lossless.
99-revolutions Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Does Mike or Billie do back-up on 'Sex Drugs and Violence'? Please reply quickly they have my family.
Bastard of 1969 Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Does Mike or Billie do back-up on 'Sex Drugs and Violence'? Please reply quickly they have my family. Mike, of course
99-revolutions Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Mike, of course Thanks. I only asked because Billie did a lot more of his own back-up on the trilogy than before and I was having trouble telling whether it was him or Mike.
Bastard of 1969 Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Thanks. I only asked because Billie did a lot more of his own back-up on the trilogy than before and I was having trouble telling whether it was him or Mike. Naah, Mike is still doing it!
Drankolz Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Does anybody know has Tre always put an umbrella in his drink. I thought it may have been after billie's rehab because one of the concerts in US I saw Billie go up to tre's drinks and nearly grab the umbrella one and then pick up the water instead. On the 21st Century Breakdown tour, Tré had those umbrellas to keep dirt from the pyros out of his drink, and I guess he just stuck with them He has used them for a loooong time. Is vinyl crackle normal? My 21st CB vinyl rip has some noticeable crackle but it actually makes some of the songs sound awesome. For example during the fade out of "See The Light"....the crackle increases as the piano fades and it sounds just incredible. That is normal, its a result of dust on your vinyl and dirt and residue from the pressing that accumulates on your needle. A needle needs to be cleaned, as does the vinyl, but rather don't clean them if you don't know how to do it. Vinyl stores usually are glad to give advice It also comes from static on the vinyl, antistatic sleeves and little brushes you can hold onto the vinyl while it spins help. Try using a power circuit without stuff as computers on it too, that alters the sound.
fatherotti Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Can anyone help me out with what Mike says during this part in the video? During the part where they reflect on what happened that week (9/11 Attacks). I think it's at 2:40 He says like, I just think you shouldn't take a second chance on having a fucking good time in your life, or something like that. BTW this is my favorite all time performance of She. She live @ Gilman 2001

Looks nothing like the pictures I've seen and they were banned in 2001. Is there distortion/overdrive on Mike's bass in that? I think there is but I can't quite tell.
