Jon Benjamin Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 The only two songs we've heard that are confirmed to be from C&V are Cigarettes and Valentines and Too Much Too Soon. Please take the time to visit one of the numerous threads about the album we have and read up on what's confirmed and what's an actual possibility. There's no reason as of now to believe Lights Out is from C&V.Except for maybe the fact that the production and drums sound the exact same as Too Much Too Soon. Someone needs to meet them and ask if Lights Out and Hearts Collide were on it. I mean we had TMTS for 6ish years(?) before it was confirmed Edit: and that Billie's voice sound pre-AI in all 3

Like, it was second on my list. But I agree someone just needs to get confirmation for this.

That's not any definite proof. 2. They were recorded at different studios. Check the liner notes.

You know kind of like everyone else on Earth? ... Yeah, me neither, let's just keep assuming things based on the tone of his voice.
Todd Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Also, Too Much Too Soon wasn't from the CV sessions, it was re recorded at the same time as the other songs. So even if Hearts Collide and Lighs Out were from CV, they would've been rerecorded at a later time anyways

Todd Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Do we know that for a fact?well, we know that the songs were just rough recordings, they hadn't been mixed or mastered, and we know there were something like 21 songs or so. And we know Green Day didn't care for any of those recordings. But I guess if tey really wanted to they could've gone back and fixed the old tapes up, if they weren't in fact misplaced.
MaraGreenDay Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 "The most dramatic entrance for an autograph was probably when I was in Edmonton Alberta Canada or... whatever, and she jumped on my back and asked for the autograph. She was so cool and she said she wanted to be in a band... Well, whoever that was, I totally support you!" Billie Joe. Anyone knows if this is from an interview or somethig?

They could have easily gotten it mixed and mastered if it was in fact an old recording, that's an end game thing. Of course they also could have changed parts of it, recorded new guitars but not new drums, new drums but not guitars, really anything. The only thing we can do is chalk it up to "we don't know".
carriedaway Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Is there any translation to English for this article? http://www.expressen.se/nyheter/billie-joe-armstrong-laddar-for-konserten/
Iva Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 At first glance based on similarities with English and German, it seems to be just an article describing what happened at iHeartRadio, what Billie then said in that Rolling Stone interview and where the band last played in Sweden in 2010.
Jon Benjamin Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Has it ever crossed your mind that Billie can probably sing different ways on different songs? You know kind of like everyone else on Earth? ... green day is Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 He hasn't sounded like that on anything since AI has been out Can you not change your tone of voice or something?
Beathe. Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Is there any translation to English for this article? http://www.expressen.se/nyheter/billie-joe-armstrong-laddar-for-konserten/ They're basically just quoting what he said in the Rolling Stones interview. The only thing they did was to add a picture of when he arrived at their hotel in Sweden.
Misterglasshalfempty Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 In his interview with Bill Maher, Billie Joe said that he had one or two songs that were banned from radio stations after 9/11. Does anybody know which songs?
amdr182 Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 In his interview with Bill Maher, Billie Joe said that he had one or two songs that were banned from radio stations after 9/11. Does anybody know which songs? Probably American Idiot and Holiday.
Jon Benjamin Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 In his interview with Bill Maher, Billie Joe said that he had one or two songs that were banned from radio stations after 9/11. Does anybody know which songs?Brain Stew was on Clear Channel's list of "banned songs" right after 9/11
Misterglasshalfempty Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Probably American Idiot and Holiday. I thought so too at first, but I think the banning of songs was a bit earlier. Brain Stew was on Clear Channel's list of "banned songs" right after 9/11 Do you have any idea why that particular song was banned?
WhiteTim Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Yall are not paying attention it says right AFTER 9/11... AI and Holiday was released in 2004 waayyyy after 9/11
Jon Benjamin Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 I thought so too at first, but I think the banning of songs was a bit earlier. Do you have any idea why that particular song was banned?Probably because of the line "my eyes feel like they're gonna bleed, dried up and bulging out my skull" here's a complete list. It's a little ridiculous. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2001_Clear_Channel_memorandum
MaraGreenDay Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Anyone knows what is this?! It can be made by a fan, but it looks really good. Or maybe this is part of that ¡Tré!+¡Cuatro! bundle?
green day is Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Anyone knows what is this?! It can be made by a fan, but it looks really good. Or maybe this is part of that ¡Tré!+¡Cuatro! bundle? That's beautiful! I'd love it if it were real.
Governator21 Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Anyone knows what is this?! It can be made by a fan, but it looks really good. Or maybe this is part of that ¡Tré!+¡Cuatro! bundle? I think it's part of the Tre&Cuatro bundle because in Germany it was released today
Cath Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Anyone knows what is this?! It can be made by a fan, but it looks really good. Or maybe this is part of that ¡Tré!+¡Cuatro! bundle? since cuatro isn't available alone yes it's probably part of the tré-cuatro set. and it's not fan made because it's the same artwork that the DVD in the triology box set
