tubbyfox Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 I sound like a total ditz here, but I thought I'd ask, either way: what is the solution to this? 3 out of these 30 facts seem weird to me and I can't figure out which one is made up. Thanks for help. http://www.greendayauthority.com/articles/152/1/ 4 is definitely the odd one out, and 19 is a slight misquote.
Charlie Boston Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 what is the song that starts at 0.32 called?
IsaGreenDay Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 That's an unreleased song. I really like it though.
MaraGreenDay Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 You can ask this kind of things in this thread http://www.greendaycommunity.org/topic/90051-green-day-qa-thread/
Dalya Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 I was waiting for this song too. Unfortunately, we will never know what this song is, unless they passed it to the next album.
Hermione Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 yes, but even people on GDC refused that meant anything about his band membership His band membership isn't a black and white thing. Just because he's a part of the band it doesn't mean he has to play exactly the same role or be presented exactly the same as the others. He just does what he does with them, doing one thing or being in one bit of promotion doesn't mean he'll automatically do another thing or be in another bit of promotion. He's never played the exact same role as the others and it seems pretty clear he still doesn't, so I'm not sure why people are puzzled whenever he doesn't get presented the exact same way as them now.
Iva Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 4 is definitely the odd one out, and 19 is a slight misquote. Would like to see/hear the actual quote, as this did not sound like something he'd say, which is what confused me. Thank you.
tubbyfox Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Would like to see/hear the actual quote, as this did not sound like something he'd say, which is what confused me. Thank you. Yes, I agree and then I saw the interview eventually and it went something like, the interviewer asked them all who they would like to be stranded on a desert island with. Tre answered, "Paris Hilton", and Billie said something like, "Naaah, too skiinny, 'cos I'd have to end up eating them." I know this isn't quite right either, but it's more the gist of it. Can anyone else help out?
Certified Nimrod Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 There was a copyright dispute about Green Day's right to use Ernie on their album artwork, since Ernie was a copyrighted character, so the band just decided to take him off. I still haven't been able to find a copy with Ernie on the back. I found a couple in the F.Y.E. near me. ^_^
Eva Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 I found a couple in the F.Y.E. near me. ^_^ That is so unfair.
WhiteTim Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 That is so unfair. If you have any shops that sells used cds check there
Jon Benjamin Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Hopefully no one minds this since I've seen network/fbht threads here, but what is Red Tide about?
green day is Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Hopefully no one minds this since I've seen network/fbht threads here, but what is Red Tide about? Periods.
Jon Benjamin Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Periods.Thats what I thought but you're just kidding right?
green day is Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Thats what I thought but you're just kidding right? IDK probably. I've seen some people say it but they might've been joking cause I don't know how the song goes. If you think it is it probably is.
Hermione Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Thats what I thought but you're just kidding right? It totally is! I think the title is a (very direct ) reference to periods. And the song itself is about PMS/the emotional changes that women can have when they're on their period.
Annie, get your gun Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 Is there any recording of Last Night On Earth from last US shows of the 21st Century Breakdown tour? I want to know if they performed it similar to the American Idiot Musical version, I remember Billie Joe saying they liked some of the new arrangements and they started to play the songs that way
Jean Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 I sound like a total ditz here, but I thought I'd ask, either way: what is the solution to this? 3 out of these 30 facts seem weird to me and I can't figure out which one is made up. MaraGreenDay Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 Is there proof of 29? That Billie appeared in a Tony Hawk game? There you go http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CT1Ym86JD7k
Todd Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 Is there proof of 29? That Billie appeared in a Tony Hawk game? Even without knowing that, I assumed it to be right because I know the Network had a song or two on that game
JIGD13 Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 Even without knowing that, I assumed it to be right because I know the Network had a song or two on that game The Network – “Teenagers From Mars” (The Misfits) (Punk) Green Day – “Holiday” (Rock/Other)
green day is Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 I loved that game so fucking much and it would have blown my mind if I ever beat it and got Billie Joe Armstrong in it when I was a kid.
Todd Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 what is the song that starts at 0.32 called? It can be called "That Just Happened" since that's the name of the Cuatro bonus scene that consists of it, or Unknown Trilogy Instrumental #1
Hermione Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 That was so great, my brother bought the game just as I was getting into Green Day and it was such a cool surprise that he was on there! Discovered The Network's existence because of it too. Best thing: if you put him on the bike you could make it look like he was humping it
