thatidiotnimrod Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 How many copies of 1,039 did Lookout release?
sara_gd Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Germany would be a good place to start, they generally do a load of shows there, and you can easily get to France, Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland, and Denmark by train. But are we talking about this summer? They're only doing 2 shows there this summer and they are festivals. It's a good option if you're talking about next summer when they'll probably do a couple more, though.
WarriorkingNL Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Is it true that Billie Joe is only like 5'8"/172 cm?? I read it somewhere, but that'd mean he's as tall as me..
Cath Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Is it true that Billie Joe is only like 5'8"/172 cm?? I read it somewhere, but that'd mean he's as tall as me.. i thought he was 5'6 but i know he's really small and Tre is smaller than him. (well that's what i heard )

I thought they were doing more than that I just assumed that they'd do quite a few because Germany is so big. At least travelling to other countries is quite easy.
Hermione Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Is it true that Billie Joe is only like 5'8"/172 cm?? I read it somewhere, but that'd mean he's as tall as me.. He's most commonly said to be 5'7", which I think is correct. And yeah Tre's even shorter, only about 5'6". Billie just looks shorter because he has really short legs in comparison to his body. And in fact Mike's no more than 5'9" or 5'10", they're a small band . All taller than me though!
WarriorkingNL Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 I found this: Billie Joe Armstrong: 1.70m (5' 7") Mike Dirnt: 1.78m (5' 10") Tre Cool: 1.68m (5' 6") Im sure that explains why they dont look small. I mean, if Mike was like 6'6" and the Mike and Billie just a few inches smaller, I wouldnt notice either. Thank you guys.
LisaSimpson Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 No more Good Riddance live? Not on any setlist lately...

Akshat Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Have Green Day and Linkin Park ever seen/contacted/spoken about each other?
green day is Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Have Green Day and Linkin Park ever seen/contacted/spoken about each other? >have two of the biggest bands of the 00's seen each other IDK about contacted/spoken though. So in City Of The Damned, when he says "like the holy scriptures of the shopping mall" it's always sounded to me like he said lowly scriptures, although I knew it was holy. Does anyone else think this ambiguity in the way he sings it is intentional?
Akshat Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 >have two of the biggest bands of the 00's seen each other I mean in the sense that have they met and spoken to each other in person.
musso_kn Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 So in City Of The Damned, when he says "like the holy scriptures of the shopping mall" it's always sounded to me like he said lowly scriptures, although I knew it was holy. Does anyone else think this ambiguity in the way he sings it is intentional? I've never though of it like that, but it could be. Perhaps he was trying to emphasise the contrast the between 'lowly' and 'holy' in order to present both the dirty, unsophisticated aspects of bathroom graffiti, but also the traces of higher human emotion or thought that may go into some of the scrawls. #englishlitstudent But really, it's all subjective bollocks, isn't it?
MuricanIDIOT Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 I'm just curious, where is Al Sobrante(John Kiffmeyer) now and what is he doing?
Guest Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 I'm just curious, where is Al Sobrante(John Kiffmeyer) now and what is he doing? He's probably a chronic masturbater and cries over all the royalties he doesn't get.
Todd Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 I'm just curious, where is Al Sobrante(John Kiffmeyer) now and what is he doing? He's a producer and a director of photography- he works with green screens and shit like that. But like Ceadog said, he's probably smashed all pf his Green Day records, he still gets paid royalties for 1039 and Sweet Children, but apparently he rips up the checks everytime he gets em.

Todd Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 Nobody said he rips them up, just that he doesn't cash them. Could he save them all up and then cash them in at once for big $$$, or do they expire?
lizziebix Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 Could he save them all up and then cash them in at once for big $$$, or do they expire? Checks expire between 60-90 days to a year depending on the bank.
Jean Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 If he doesn't want the money, why doesn't he do something useful like donate it to a charity?
Strayheart1219 Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 I'd like to know where you guys come up with this information.
MuricanIDIOT Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 I know this prolly gets asked everyday but where can I watch !CAUTRO! ?
