musso_kn Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Ok, so apart from BOBD apparently being a rip off of Wonderwall, what's Noel Gallagher's beef with Green Day? I heard he didn't like their fans or something; does anyone have an article or interview where he actually explains this?

musso_kn Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Noel doesnt like anybody hell he hates his brother... True, but I'm sure he has some reasons and I'd like to hear or read about them
James! Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Has anyone heard any of the Trilogy singles played on the radio in the UK? I isten to the radio most days and I haven't heard anything yet and still I patiently wait for X-Kid to play, which I think is particularly radio friendly. I mainly listen to Absolute who usually play quite a lot of Green Day so I'm quite surprised. They played stray heart the day before it was released on Zane lowes show and I've heared kill the dj

The only Green Day song's I've ever heard play on the radio are Time of your life and Wake me up when September ends.

The next time there's a request show and I'm aware of it, I'm going to call in and demand they play Geek Stink Breath.

I heard he didn't like their fans or something; does anyone have an article or interview where he actually explains this? He doesn't like anybody. He said he didn't like Billie Joe's head, if that counts as a reason. He doesn't have any reasons either, half the time, just slags everybody off.

Ahh, I guess he's hard to take seriously I can't remember where it's from, you're probably right with NME. I can't take him seriously, I just feel he does as much as he can for attention. Or am I missing something?

I don't know if Noel was ever aware of this or not but check out Billie's comment at 2:30 here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fao-kx2s0d4
tubbyfox Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 They played stray heart the day before it was released on Zane lowes show and I've heared kill the dj Yeah, I thought Zane Lowe would have played more singles as he is a fan and they were on his show promoting them. So, overall, not much then! We must request songs!!

Soli Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 I remember there was a video with a preview of 99 Revolutions that was different than the album version where Billie's voice cracks. Does anyone know which one it was?
HARVESTER Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Hello, I am looking for an interview from late 1993/early 1994 of Billie Joe Armstrong that ends with him walking down a hall toward the camera making a shrug. It was about Billie Joe. Please send me a PM.
HARVESTER Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 All of this is from one video about Billie Joe Armstrong: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There was this song in it that came from when he was in Campfire. (I used to think it was about computers... because he was standing in front of one when he said the words to it. The computer was made by Apple I think. Macintosh computers were out later than it.) There was also a moment in it when they were sitting around a table with a fruit bowl on it. There was a kitchen. There was another room. There was a straight haired, blonde female in it with a short black and white skirt outfit. She was giving him a sandwich. There was a black stage. A microphone stand got knocked down and he caught it with his foot. There was a glamor shoot of him with his head against something that looked like white satin or silk. There was a song about his washing machine while he was doing laundry. He was happy in it... or at least that is how he looked. He stood reciting a poem on it also. There was a piano and Tre was sitting at it while Mike was standing on the left of the screen. At the end of it Billie Joe Armstrong was walking toward the camera and he gave it a shrug. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It was on television... and afterward a video of him reciting the poem was up on his website. He said he'd leave it there in the video, but it has since been taken down. I am looking for the entire video, including the poem. The time that it aired was late 1993 or early 1994, before he was married. If anyone remembers this or any part of it, or if they know where to find the video, please let it be known.
Guest Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 does anyone think that the AI musical will come back to the UK?
jesusofamericanidiots69 Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 they didn't come in Montreal it was in Quebec city. that's why i still have a little hope they're gonna come back because they always pass in Montreal and it's a big city. and they will probably play in the west side too! but i have no idea about Ottawa? did they use to play there for the tours? oops sorry lol and ya they did, my dad and all my uncles have gone to their concerts, and they said that they used to do this all the time. theyd do 2 or 3 gigs in canada, then go around the world, come back, and do a shit load of concerts here, in montreal AND ottawa but it'd take a while, probs mid september before they come back. UNLESS bkues fest in ottawa has them signed up, because they haven't released all the bands yet. and the bands they have signed up are not aloud to tell anyone that they're performing there. i really hope they come back soon though!
Sir Psycho Sexy Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 My question is do they play some new songs of rarities when they play in new country? (please say yes, please say yes )
Todd Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 My question is do they play some new songs of rarities when they play in new country? (please say yes, please say yes ) They have before, when they went to South America last tour, they totally rocked out all of those setlists with like Stuck With Me, Maria, Whatsername, Paper Lanterns, One of My Lies, Road to Acceptance, Razorbacks, Brat. The Japanese shows last year had pretty good setlists, Germany 2010 had Nice Guys, Fuck Time, Pulling Teeth. But that's not every show dude. I can't promise anything, but even if they don't play rare songs, the show is fucking amazing. I never thought I'd be able to sit through 15 minutes of King for a Day, let alone standing
Jon Benjamin Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 If I were to go to europe this summer for my graduation present, where would be the best destination to start that would let me see 2-3 shows easily, I'd probably wanna travel by train

sara_gd Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 If I were to go to europe this summer for my graduation present, where would be the best destination to start that would let me see 2-3 shows easily, I'd probably wanna travel by train There's 4 in Italy, so maybe you want to go to those? Milan (May 24th) and Trieste (May 25th), then Belgrade (May 26th) and then Rome (June 5th) and Bologna (June 6th). I have a question: I remember reading that Billie Joe said that American Idiot was more similar to ... rap artist I think? of 2004 than to rock artist, because the lattest ones weren't talking about politics at that moment. I read it in a scan on GDA, but I can't find it now Any idea?
American_edot Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 In aaf when billie says 'tyoko e Japan' what actually does he say in English and Japanese
