Overjoyyed Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 No, I mean like real size ones in Niagara Falls (Canada side) I was walking around the tourist area and they had a wax rock and roll hall of fame and listed Billie Joe on the list outside the window... But I didn't end up going in.. So Billie has at least 1 wax figure.. Dunno the rest of the band..

Like, just pick a side dude
Heather. Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 When did Billie say something like "Life isn't pretty, but it sure is beautiful"? Like literally at every concert on this tour in the break of Letterbomb 37 songs isn't enough, I know. How do you know it was originally called Emily? Billie said so during one of the 21CB interviews, possibly if you search youtube for when he talks about Viva la Gloria. However, I don't think it's necessarily true that he was writing about the same Emily that Emily's Army is named for. He said "I was using the name Emily" for the song, like he was just brainstorming possible female character names and that's what he was using but then he decided he liked Gloria better. He also said the song is about him and could have easily been called "Viva la Billie Joe" if it didn't sound shitty The Emily thing I think is a coincidence.

So Little Girl (The song) wasn't called Emily, but the character was, right? And who plays the extra instruments in Espionage?
Heather. Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 So Little Girl (The song) wasn't called Emily, but the character was, right? And who plays the extra instruments in Espionage? IDK, I imagine whichever Viva la Gloria was written first in Billie's head.... this is minutia I don't even care about, and I'm pretty detail-oriented (does he even say "Gloria" in Little Girl? If not, I'd assume it was just the first song that had Emily as the working name, unless he had the idea for the character before the songs anyway...)
Todd Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 And does anyone think Green Day will make up their promotional appearances or do interviews in the next month before their EU tour?
pasalaska Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 And does anyone think Green Day will make up their promotional appearances or do interviews in the next month before their EU tour? They'll probably do some in Europe, they're super-mega-popular in certain countries over there. I hope so anyways.

pasalaska Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 heyy does anyone can tell me what are the "bonus" things in Cuatro DVD? its just little out-takes and bits of footage that didn't make the final cut of the documentary itself, like Mike and Serena Williams playing ping pong.
Lauren Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 What exactly is "The Angel and the Jerk"? I heard it on Last FM, and it was great! but is there any information/story about it?
Todd Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 What exactly is "The Angel and the Jerk"? I heard it on Last FM, and it was great! but is there any information/story about it? It was recorded for the tv show Friends in 1999 and appeared on its soundtrack.
Todd Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 What's the date that Don't Want to Know if You Are Lonely was recorded on f MTV's influences: Green Day in 2000? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vniciBV6D5E
green day is Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 It was recorded for the tv show Friends in 1999 and appeared on its soundtrack. Actually I asked earlier in the thread, and it was recorded for a different show, then that was cancelled and it was adopted by Friends.
ThibautDookie Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Does someone have those ? If so, can you please do scans of those ! It would be very helpful that i have scans of this, for the Live Guide !
fatherotti Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Anyone have this cover but without the parental advisory sticker? I would do it myself in Photoshop but I'm afraid I'd mess it up. Thanks EDIT: Nevermind tried myself, I think it looks good. I moved the letters over a bit so it doesn't seem so empty. If anyone else wants it, feel free to take it.

ThibautDookie Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 Is this true, i never heard that ? This is not the first visit to the country by at least one of the members of Green Day about six months ago, bassist Mike Dirnt came to know the grave of his grandfather, in American (Yankee stronghold of immigration in São Paulo).

Yeah, I've heard that Mike's grandfather is buried in Brazil (in the state of São Paulo, but I forgot which city) and when Green Day came in 1998, Mike took the opportunity to visit his grave. But I don't know if it's true.
