Never buy something that you don't already know the value of. I was in an vintage clothing store this weekend and found a massive wall of vinyl. In there was Introducing the Beatles. If you find the right edition, Introducing the Beatles is worth a few thousand. Thing is, there are a dozen or more editions of it out there, and I didn't feel like taking a $20 gamble on an item that, statistically, is probably worth $10. If you're not sure of the value of an item and the price tag seems the least bit sketchy, walk away. Also, never take the word of the guy who's selling you the item when it comes to rarity, worth, etc. If, for example, he says his CD is worth $30, why's he willing to sell it for $15?

Sarcasm has no idea what he's talking about- that one doesn't have a booklet. That's the rare 3D print single. You got a really good deal! It's a promo single, released in the US only. Great find!

My other post seems to have disappeared

As you guys can see, there are at least 9 different pressings of the Redundant single. So don't just assume it's the most common one (the ones at the top)

That's the Foot in Mouth/BBBPP 1999 Japanese box set re-release. I just got one for like $28 not that long ago.

Okay, y'know how AI, 21stCBD & the Trilogy came out in book style albums, did any of the other albums do that too?

No other DVD-sized books, no, but there is a special edition Warning that came with a little CD-case-sized book of photos and artwork of the band, and the CD case itself was card, not plastic.

I don't know, I've never seen one for sale myself. But at least what you paid for it.

That's just a regular Digipak with a book though- 1039 and BIAB also have Digipaks, but no book like Warning had

Is Billie Joe becoming a Christian? There are some things he's said that suggest it to me and the fact that he likes to collect crosses and other Christian imagery. I'm just wondering if it was the rehab that moved him more towards religion. Like that quote from the Rolling Stone interview where he was using "meditation through prayer". Did he mean that literally, or was it just a figure of speech? He was agnostic, I thought, before rehab, so I'm not exactly sure if I'm reading too much into things or if he is really becoming more religious now.

Let me just clarify that I'm not saying there is anything wrong with this. I'm merely curious.

When did Billie say something like "Life isn't pretty, but it sure is beautiful"?

It's obviously a part of his private life, but since American Idiot I think he's been fascinated by the idea of religion and how it interacts with a person's life and culture

That's a pretty good response. Thanks! I hadn't really thought about him keeping that part of his life to himself, but obviously that's the case. Sometimes I forget how much I DON'T know about him.

He's always been into collecting crosses and religious symbols etc. He posted photos from around his house on gd.com during Nimrod times where he had a shelf of random religious stuff (with plastic skulls and a Ken doll mixed in lol) and he's said in both old and new interviews that he finds religious objects and imagery interesting and that he has a "fetish for Christianity". I don't think that has anything to do with his actual beliefs about religion/spirituality, it's just that he likes what it looks like from an artistic point of view and finds it interesting.

Separately from that I've always got the impression that he's agnostic, it's not a new thing. Right back to Dookie times any time he's been asked about it in interviews he's always said he's agnostic or indicated that he wouldn't rule out the idea of God existing. He obviously isn't a big fan of organized religion and has no problem criticizing or make fun of it, but as far as whether he personally believes in God I don't think he's ever hidden that he might to some extent.

Do any of the singles from the trilogy have B-Sides? I'm pretty sure there was five singles to the Trilogy and I was just wondering. If there is, how do I get them?
