Awesompawsome Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 I was on iBooks, and I saw the uno tab book so I figured why the hell not sample it, I'm flipping through and I get to carpe diem, above all of the songs it says music and words written by billie, tre and mike, but on carpe diem it also credits someone named Jeff Shadbolt, I googled him and he seems to some sort or musician, can anyone shed more light on this for me? Would these guys just be additional musicians or what, cuz there's more too
Awesompawsome Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Looks like he's from the band Purple Hearts I wonder if he's only credited for 1 thing that he played like the violin from hitchin a ride, but I don't think there's stuff like that on carpe diem
BraedonHorbacio Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 In the liner notes of 39/Smooth are letters from major labels that John rejected. Billie and Mike got pissed off because even though they weren't considering going big at the time, they wanted to keep their doors open, and John told 2 major record labels that they would never sell out Sweet! So that's where the Sassafras Roots 1997 came from. Too bad there's probably no recording Ah, thanks a lot. Is there anywhere these liner notes can still be seen?

Guest Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Has anyone heard of a CD called 'The Best of Green Day'? I just found it in my local market for £5 so thought what the hell & bought it. Never heard of it before. Wondering if anyone knows anything about it? Can't find it online either. It was released in '04 & has tracks from Dookie through to American Idiot.

I've seen that floating around online when I've been searching for downloads of a COUGHquestionableCOUGH nature I think it might have been for Europe only release or something. Don't think there's anything special about any of the tracks.

I don't leave the house often enough to see many CDs in the wild My thoughts exactly. Hah, I very rarely see any about but this is the same place I got my TJ's gig vinyl which was a 100 limit press so thought its be worth a search. I'm tempted to be like 'hey so here's my number keep my on speed dial in case you get any cool shit in' but he'd probably get the wrong idea
Jon Benjamin Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Why doesn't Billie say wake up in letterbomb anymore? My only guess is that he has "woken up" from his old self
HolyHandGrenade Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Why doesn't Billie say wake up in letterbomb anymore? My only guess is that he has "woken up" from his old self I suppose that's why... wasn't his "We're all ALIVE!!!" speech during Letterbomb?

Hermione Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Why doesn't Billie say wake up in letterbomb anymore? My only guess is that he has "woken up" from his old self He might've only said it before because of being super excited about the musical at the time (it was originally added in the musical version of the song). Probably doesn't mean anything special.

11Greendayfan Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Is there any outdoor shows this year during the trilogy tour? And this might sound like a dumb question but just curious, does tré, mike, or Billie still smoke weed?
