Karol Oliveira Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Damn a hoodie is expensive. But that's not too bad I guess, they haven't bumped it up as much as I thought they would. Okay, thank you! You're welcome.
HolyHandGrenade Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 No part of The Saints Are Coming was written by U2 or Green Day. It's a mashup of The Animals "House Of The Rising Sun" and The Skids "The Saints Are Coming". Then it's effectively at the very extreme on one side of the spectrum. Still a relevant question in that case.
JIGD13 Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Do you think that the March 28th show of Green Day at the AllState Arena will have the stage that the band will use for the rest of the tour
pasalaska Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Do you think that the March 28th show of Green Day at the AllState Arena will have the stage that the band will use for the rest of the tour I can't see why it wouldn't, any particular reason you ask?
JIGD13 Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 I can't see why it wouldn't, any particular reason you ask? Because the stage that they have used for the last 3 shows were absolutely nothing just some lights but it may be because this gigs were in small places and because the All State arena is a lot bigger I think that the new stage should be like ''premiered'' there
Drankolz Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Because the stage that they have used for the last 3 shows were absolutely nothing just some lights but it may be because this gigs were in small places and because the All State arena is a lot bigger I think that the new stage should be like ''premiered'' there I'm not sure they will even use their own stage, depending on how customized it is going to be (21st Century Breakdown needed it, clearly, with the LED screens and stuff) it might just be easier and cheaper to rent stages from local backline companies for every show. In the smaller (for Green Day) venues of the recent shows I guess they just used whatever rig the venue had to offer.
Guest Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Does anyone know if the AI musical will come back to the UK? I know it's unlikely but I'm still holding out, just in case.
GuitarPunk94 Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Do you think that the March 28th show of Green Day at the AllState Arena will have the stage that the band will use for the rest of the tour i remember mike saying that their new tour setup will have some awesome lights.. and the stage could be the same for every show of the tour, except some festival shows maybe
WorryRock02 Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Do you think that the March 28th show of Green Day at the AllState Arena will have the stage that the band will use for the rest of the tour I think yes...they usually use the same stage for tw whole tour but maybe for festival and in some venue the stage could change =)
green day is Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 So I'm not sure where to post this at all because it's not thread-worthy, but I just had a mega realization. American Idiot is Fight Club. Thoughts?

Thoughts? The split personality part is similar, not sure on the rest of it though without hearing your full theory. Maybe St Jimmy is Tyler Durden. But I think American Idiot is Quadrophenia!
alaniluau Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 But I think American Idiot is Quadrophenia! And Zen Arcade!

But I think American Idiot is Quadrophenia! They both "kill themselves" at the end. I'm gonna find all the other similarities and try my hardest to ignore the fact that p. much every unreliable narrator story is exactly the same.

Actually something quite a lot like that happens at the end of Quadrophenia when Jimmy (he's even called Jimmy!) "kills" one side of his identity. I'm going to be thinking of American Idiot when I watch the end of either film now.

I remember that Michael Mayer said in an interview that the story of American Idiot reminds him of Fight Club. nowai That's awesome.

DannyDirnt Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 I'm going to the BBK Festival to see Green Day with my best friend. But we're going only for Green Day and the tickets are 50€. It's worth it though because if we were to wait for tour dates in Madrid/Barcelona in 2014 we'd also have to pay hostage and transport, whereas this festival is so close to our city that we don't need hostage there or anything. My question is, how long is a festival setlist? Someone on twitter said they'll most probably play a 1h set,. And even the Reading Festival set had only 16 songs, but that would be kinda disappointing since this is gonna be most probably my only oportunity to see Green Day. Is there any possibility they'll play a full tour set?

Also it was a special amplifer, I don't remember what made it special, but there are interviews about it.
musso_kn Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 OK, I want to get this straight once and for all...Where is Green Day from? Berkeley or Oakland? Or Rodeo? Or East Bay? Actually, would someone mind explaining the geography of North California to me?

Actually, would someone mind explaining the geography of North California to me? I think they're from Berkeley, which is inside Rodea and near Oakland, and it is in the East Bay area. At least that's how I picture it.
