WhiteTim Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Until the trilogy songs they never really went overboard with the swearing Plenty of songs are swear free

Red Lights Flash Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 I was wondering if the band ever said anything about what the tour is going to look like? Usually they have two tour legs, visiting Europe and the US two times. But do we know yet what the rough plans are this time? They were in Europe last summer, but I think they called that a "pre-tour".. (And I didn't see them then anyway because I traveled to fuckin' Italy only to hear that it was cancelled Oh, my luck)

JIGD13 Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Like a year ago I saw on MTV the Green Day's official top 20 singles. Does anyone know where can I get it because I want to see it again
Jean Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 So today, I was going through Sum 41's discography on wikipedia and saw that they did a song with Iggy Pop. I clicked on it and saw it was on an album that featured Green Day. I had never previously heard of it and the 2 GD songs are not listed in GD's discography anywhere (that I know of) which makes me wonder how many Green Day fans are actually aware of them. Anyway, I just thought I'd share that. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skull_Ring

Billie (and i think Mike and Tre as well) co-wrote the song with Iggy, but that doesn't make it a GD song, just like Billie co-wrote Rancid's 'Radio'. It's still the song of whoever originally performed it, but the writing credit gets split with Billie/GD.

Billie Joe Armstrong - guitar, backing vocals on tracks 6, 14 Mike Dirnt - bass on tracks 6, 14 Tré Cool - drums, percussion on tracks 6, 14 I think it should be listed under "other appearances" on their wikipedia page. (Maybe I should go edit it? EDIT: I just did.)
HolyHandGrenade Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Until the trilogy songs they never really went overboard with the swearing But the subject matter... that's a whole different story.

LMC Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 What's the name of the awesome western tune that they've been playing just before walking out on stage?
Katarina. Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 What's the name of the awesome western tune that they've been playing just before walking out on stage? They play a western tune before going on stage? I have no idea. I only know they played the Ramones' 'Do you remember rock n roll radio?' on previous tours. So yeah, I second your question

Guest Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 How expensive does merch run at the gigs? Is it similar to their standard pricing or do they knock it up a butt load?
Guest Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 So it would be placed in proximity of The Saints Are Coming on the "credit spectrum"? No part of The Saints Are Coming was written by U2 or Green Day. It's a mashup of The Animals "House Of The Rising Sun" and The Skids "The Saints Are Coming". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NU3KELkd-zY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O4-C-qHpb34 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PD_0fqvT32g

There's a pic of the merch stand on the El Paso show thread where you can see that t-shirts costs $30 and a hoodie $65. On their official store, trilogy tees costs $25, so...

On their official store, trilogy tees costs $25, so... Damn a hoodie is expensive. But that's not too bad I guess, they haven't bumped it up as much as I thought they would. Okay, thank you!
