Heather. Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 Well I think the "woke up in a pool of sweat" definitely refers to having a wet dream. The rest of the references might be reading a little too much into it.
Moriarty Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 Did Billie ever mention who "Amanda Jones" was from Fuck Time? I just watched Some Kind of Wonderful and the girl in there, who the main character is after but is so far out of his league, is called Amanda Jones. I'd imagine that she could be "the holy grace" in this sense, as all the guys in the school want her. I don't recall ever reading him talking about it, but I might have missed it. It would be a really cool reference if the above turns out true!

Moriarty Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Amanda= She, Chump, Sassafras Roots, Stuart and the Ave, Good Riddance, She's a Rebel, Whatsername, and Amanda I thought that "Amanda Jones" was different from the "Amanda" from those songs? Seeing as he has referenced her by her full name.
Todd Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 I thought that "Amanda Jones" was different from the "Amanda" from those songs? Seeing as he has referenced her by her full name. So? Jones is a common name, so she could be a metaphor for any common hot chick
WhiteTim Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 So? Jones is a common name, so she could be a metaphor for any common hot chick Exactly he could easily just made up a last name for it
Moriarty Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Well okay, I was just wondering if he had ever mentioned it as I thought the reference fit. But if not then yeah, it's probably just a metaphor rather than THE Amanda.
MaraGreenDay Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Amanda Jones is a character from that movie "some kind of wonderful" lol
green day is Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 How much of Cuatro is out, and how much is still coming? I've seen a couple different parts of it on Youtube, is there anywhere I can watch all that we have so far in one convenient place?

Sarahnade Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Is there a list of anywhere of all Green Day releases? I collect, and even though I'm capable of figuring out what I have and don't have, it would be nice to have a list to go through and check things off as I go. I know there's a staggering number of things, so it'd be nice to see what little progress I've made.

RagexLovex94 Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 On Youtube I was watching footage from last nights show at The Fox Theater, Someone commented on there and said something about Billie having started writing already for their next album...I really would like to know if that is true or just a rumor, and if it is true when did he say he was?

I think he said this in the Rolling Stones interview last week. Someone tell me if i'm wrong thought.
Guest Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 He didn't say he was writing songs, he was just playing out random tunes on his acoustic. Unless he has started writing lyrics between the RS interview & the gig, it's only little tunes so far.

So pretty much
TheNimrod51 Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 I was just wondering, what exactly does billie hear though the in-ear monitors? Is it just his guitar and vocals? Or does it also include drums and bass? I've been really curious about that.

I don't know if that's true for live, but that's totally how he records. He has his scratch track a little bit before he actually needs to sing. If you listen to Going To Pasalqua loud enough, you can hear it go "Here we go a-" before he actually starts singing, and if you happen to have the Rockband multitracks you can hear it in the acapellas. I don't know the benefit of this, or how he doesn't get confused as fuck.
