Sarcasm Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 I have a question about the downloads sections on here and on GDA. Are they legal/has Green Day said anything about how they feel about it? I just don't want to feel like a hypocrite, since I'm starting a project on piracy in school. What's available for download are rips from live shows mostly, so don't worry brah.
HolyHandGrenade Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 What's available for download are rips from live shows mostly, so don't worry brah. Cool. Just downloaded D.U.I. - it's hilarious! A spiritual successor to Dominated Love Slave.
Hermione Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Yeah we only allow downloads of things that can't be bought, so nothing available to download here is going to hurt the band.
LazyPhil Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Cool. Just downloaded D.U.I. - it's hilarious! A spiritual successor to Dominated Love Slave. Tre should make a solo album with songs like that!

Haha no But Green Day has seen the site and the mamagement talks to the site admins and the section still there so they most likely don't care or mind about it some bands dont care about trading live shows and some do apperently GD is one of the dont care band
HolyHandGrenade Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Tre should make a solo album with songs like that! It would be funny if Cigarettes and Valentines was just that, and that's why they abandoned it.
Heather. Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Does anyone know which Irving Plaza song this happened during? I'm LOLing

SamMacs Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Things change, back in the 90s he'd probably tell the security guard to fuck off for standing in the way of the guitar.

Tanner Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Is there any news on anymore singles being released from Tre? The packaging for the CD said featuring "X-Kid, 8th Avenue Serenade & 99 Revolutions" so im guessing 8th and 99 were going to be singles? I think 99 Revolutions would be a great single I really hope they try and release at least another single from this album

I think 99 Revolutions would be a great single I really hope they try and release at least another single from this album I'm sure they're going to release more. Two isn't very many and since they're with a big record company they'll want to have more singles because it can benefit both the band and the label. As to what songs will be singles, I have no idea. Everyone seems to think the band will pick 99 Revolutions.

I'm definitely not near that point yet. The project will take the entire semester, but I think GDC might come in handy later on.

LazyPhil Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 ¡DOS! had Amy and SWRF as well but those songs were never released It's because those were featured on CSI:NY
Guest lauraGDlover Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 idk if already asked (sorry was not gonna scan 106 pages to see) but how did GD get their name? i always went with the version off of their Behind the Music episode where they wrote the song Green Day and original drummer Al aka John put the name of the song on a jacket and wore it to Gillman St and the crowd started calling them that. and they let it stick cause BJ thought they were starting to out grow Sweet Children as they were 17 at the time. but others have said they changed it due to another band in the bay area with the name sweet baby and didn't want confussion so after the signed on with label livermoore pushed for the change. but ya never know, the jacket could have started it all. will we ever find out the truth? lol
