Martyn Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 This is VERY interesting.....NEED more details now!
Harriet Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 Hope we get more info soon so I can apply for tickets!
Homero Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 Great! I really like when bands play at that show. I think The Vaccines is playing in there too.
Mary711 Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 Hope we get more info soon so I can apply for tickets! Do you have to apply for them or can you just buy them when they go onsale?
Smoothed Out Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 That's awesome! Thanks for posting I'm not a big Jools Holland fan, but always glad to see GD on British tv
netty Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 this hasn`t been confirmed people! and think about all the gigs they have lined up over the next few months. its not going to be exactly easy to organise this one,
Seanz25 Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 From people who have met him Jools is ment to be a massive tw*t in person. Glad to see GD on telly here though!
stuart_and_the_ave Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 Do you have to apply for them or can you just buy them when they go onsale? You have to apply for them. As far as I know audience tickets for BBC shows are always free.
in_your_face Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 so many t.v shows for green day right now
SetOnOverdrive Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 If it's pre-recorded they've probably already done it, but isn't Jools Holland live? I dunno. It's filmed in front of a live audience so i'm sure if they had recorded it already we would have heard.
Mary711 Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 You have to apply for them. As far as I know audience tickets for BBC shows are always free. Thanks.
Dax Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 BBC shows are generally free. I went to one once where you had to pay but the money went to charity. You usually have to apply through a lottery system and just hope for the best as the shows that have big acts on are always over subscribed

tvrman Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 A reminder for fellow Brits to keep an eye on the schedules. Remember there is a Tuesday live show and an extended highlights on Friday (both on BBC2 and BBC HD). The first show on September 25th includes Muse and the Beach Boys. Using eg the Sky Planner we should get a weeks notice on who is in the following show. UPDATE: Sky Planner shows next week as 1/16, so Green Day's appearance could be anytime in the next 4 months !
tvrman Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Second draw for tickets is 8th October, for the rest of this month's shows via the BBC website. I know unsubstantiated rumour is frowned upon... but in case, like myself, you are thinking of applying for tickets for LWJH (note you must be over 18) and hope to get the GD show...I am going to stick my neck out and say I think GD will be on 30th October or 6th November (tying in with the release of iDOS!). This is based upon finding a listing of acts for LWJH and comparing it to the first 4 episodes (to 16th October) which have been published, and seeing that the order is amazingly accurate. So I have applied for tickets to the 30th October show just in case the stars align. You cannot apply for tickets to the November shows as yet.
Tre_Gina Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 liking your work there, I've been keeping my eyes and ears open for this. I'm on hol the week of 30th oct so will wait and apply for the November shows I think.
Annie, get your gun Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 I hope you're right and they'll be there soon!
Forever Now Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Shit, I wish BBC America aired this Me too!
tvrman Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 Following recent comments by RC, I know this is clutching at bloody long straws ... I have found an advanced listing site for LWJH and can confirm that Green Day will not be on the show up to and including the 6th Nov episode. IF GD keep their initial commitment to appear on LWJH I think it will have to be in Nov because of clashes with the US tour. So if you feel lucky apply for tickets for either 13th November (iDOS! release?) or 20th November (US tour warm up?) and hope everything works out. Even without GD LWJH is usually a good show. Entry to the draw for the November shows have just opened (it closes on 29th October). http://www.bbc.co.uk..._jools_autumn12
farley drexel hatcher Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 It was never confirmed they'd be on though.
tvrman Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 It was never confirmed they'd be on though.I am not getting into semantics, but GD were listed by the BBC as being on the current series of LWJH.
Alan86 Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 I don't see this happening. I do think it was supposed to happen but if Green Day are not doing promo or shows in the US right now it's unlikely they would fly to England to do this.
suicidexmakeover Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 Awesome, can't wait to see this! Also when applying for tickets it had a box for 'Street' and the example is 'Glasgow Street'. I think I'm being stupid but does that literally mean your first line of your address?!
