Guest Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 and again they did this "fan ticket zone" what the hell? What are they?
Beathe. Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 and again they did this "fan ticket zone" what the hell? Damn. They don't have those kinds of tickets to the shows I'm going to.
Yaz. Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 and again they did this "fan ticket zone" what the hell? At least it's cheaper than the Wien one though, 85 euros!
.Holly Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 What even is the "Fan ticket zone" thing? Is it like a golden circle where you're closer to the band?
JellyTime Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 At least it's cheaper than the Wien one though, 85 euros! Yeah, it's insane price, but you know, Green Day and Bad Religion are totally worth it What even is the "Fan ticket zone" thing? Is it like a golden circle where you're closer to the band? I think so.
ConfirmPassword Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 I'm so happy to hear this! There's no way I'll be able to go but still
DecanoLP Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 I HOPE for some new german dates sooo much! Not gonna happen... Why the hell do they have these fan zones now? That's absolutely ridiculous...
~ Walking Contradiction Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 New tour date I would freak out if this was the first time they play in my country!
Nemo. Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Not gonna happen... Why the hell do they have these fan zones now? That's absolutely ridiculous... stop destroying my illusions but i know you're right, dammit
WestboundSign! Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Well, this at least gives me a tiny little bit of hope.. let's see. And I'm super happy for all the fans from Estonia!
Beathe. Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Why the hell do they have these fan zones now? That's absolutely ridiculous... Agreed. I wonder if there's going to be announced more tour dates.
LisaBJA Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 But I still have tiny hope for more gigs When not, I will buy me a festival ticket
Dirty Rotten Bastard Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 A new date? I HAVE HOPE NOW OK. Maybe they might announce some more dates when they release X-Kid as a single?
Yaz. Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Gah, I was gonna book a couple but now I keep putting it off...
Hermione Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Hmm....hoping this fan ticket zone thing isn't going to become the norm
.Holly Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Hmm....hoping this fan ticket zone thing isn't going to become the norm Yeah, it sucks that you have to pay extra if you want to stand infront of the band. And most of us on here will fork out that extra (if we can afford it) because we love the band so much. How many golden circle tickets are there usually anyway? The only thing I'm not sorry about, if it becomes the norm, is that there will be fewer people trying to elbow me in the face to get further forward
Guest Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 I like the idea of the 'golden circle'. I would happily pay a bit extra to be right up front, having to fight less people to keep my spot. Yeah, they'll sell out quicker but you just gotta be quicker on the purchase then
Mykee Mexx Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 I don´t really know what a fan-zone is, but if it means being closer to the stage/band and less crowded, I would chose it. Even if it´s more expensive. Money rules, doesn´t it...?
Hermione Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 I think it would suck to have a "rich fans" area at the front at every show. Takes away a lot of a what a Green Day show should be about imo, at the moment everyone at the show's equal however much money they have and everyone has the chance to be near the front if they're willing to queue a few hours for it. Rich fans at the front, poor fans at the back? No thanks. They're only doing this at a couple of shows so far of course so no point in worrying too much yet. But I really hope this isn't the direction they're heading.

Yaz. Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 They aren't doing that kind of thing on the US tour are they? It could just be down to the venue arrangements of certain stadiums. I've never heard of it to happen in arena shows..

I've never heard of it to happen in arena shows..True. They're only doing it at a couple of the many shows they've announced so that's what I'm hoping, that it's just a venue thing at those particular venues. Fingers crossed it's just a couple of isolated incidents and not an ominous sign

Yes if you can afford it then it allows you to get closer, and I would definately pay for that, but money shouldn't seperate fans of a band...
DTH Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 and again they did this "fan ticket zone" what the hell? ok thats it. no green day show for me anymore. i'm not part of your elite...
Mykee Mexx Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 To be honest, if I can afford 45,- € for a normal ticket, I can also afford 59,- for a fan zone... But, yes, that´s a point, that fans will be divided, if there was a special fan or V.I.P.-zone. Don´t know who´s responsible for that and how much influence the band has on decisions like that. Or if they even know, ´cause they have their managers and staff to book the venues. But still, if I had the chance for a fan zone I´d do it.
