Green Day put on a better and longer live show than artists you'd pay twice as much for. That's good enough for me.

true words.

As a student, there are plenty of the EU shows that as of right now I can't afford. But that doesn't bother me, because I'm going to save up the money to make sure I will be at those shows because I want to. Green Day are the only band I can say that every time I see them live feels like the first time, and there's something pure magic about their shows that money can't buy. While it's annoying that the ticket prices have increased, it's kinda irrelavant to me in the long term.

WTF? did you look at the ticket sale? they sale golden circle tickets in wien for 89 euros. 49 for normal standing tickets.

if its green days idea with the more expensive tickets for the front area and they gonna do it at all shows they are dead for me, seriously!

That whole golden circle/standing ticket thing is only the case for the show in Vienna. For all other show's, there's only one standing ticket option (for Copenhagen even for "only" 60€). Just making clear that this isn't the case for all shows. I wouldn't necessarily blame GD for that, they probably aren't even aware of it.

If it was them alone making ticket prices, wouldn't it make more sense to have them all equally and not sell tix for one show for 49€, those for another show for 60€ and those for another 85€? I really don't get this whole ticket policy, it's ridiculous. I can only hope it won't be like that for the whole tour. Otherwise, you won't see me a lot out there.

i agree with you...I've just seen them once but it was just pure awesomeness, it was really the greatest day in my whole life, i've even seen them from first row and i still don't know how i did that, i'd pay anything to get that feeling i had back then again...okay, maybe not anything, but if it's somehow affordable  and damn, that security guy and the girl next to me still owe me that guitar pick which Mike wanted to give ME  ...but naw, i'm okay with it  (and it'd be another topic  )

anyways, the prizes are still affordable, so it also doesn't bother me too much...also cos i really doubt it's green day themselves who are changing the prizes...

Yeah..exactly. It's obviously more expensive than 21CB tour, but then look what happened there. They made losses. It's still a job to them, and with the trilogy probably not pulling in as much money as it would have done, I'm not fussed about the prices being a bit more if it means I get to see them again on tour.

This is exactly what I think =)

I don't spend much money regularly, so I can afford to spend a few € with those things that make me incredibly happy, a GD show for example!

*Patiently waiting for more UK dates"

I've got my tix for London already but was hoping to maybe catch them on a couple of dates.. or maybe at secret shows a la Shepherd's Bush, but I fear the days of secret / Tubbie shows are over..

I wouldn't rule them out! (Tubbies, maybe)

They said while back that they want to play anywhere and everywhere they can, be it stadium, arena or theatre. Although, we may have to wait till the 'real tour' for anything like that...

Do we know if there'll be one day tickets for Arras and if so, when they're going to be on sale?

I hope so! Because my sisters boyfriend said he'd drive me there from where we live! (Near Birmingham, England!) :)

I hope it might help you.

I'll update it (when more dates are being announced) and post it again here so you have an overview on all the dates ;)

Do you think that if the rumours about the concert in Serbia are true they could play in Croatia and Hungary as well?

I'm looking at old tour dates and in '97, for example, the European tour started in Italy, in '98 in Ireland, in 2000 in Portugal and in 2005 in Germany...maybe next year it will start somewhen around the 20th of May in Switzerland, then Serbia and/or Crotia/Hungary, Austria and then the UK...

gggh I want the dates :pinch:

^ I think it would be amazing if they did! They've already announced a few uncommon locations so, it's possible!

so now we miss Italy, Poland and Switzerland. and there are no concerts from June 10 toJune 16.. between Germany and Netherlands ..so I assume in that space they'll probably add shows, maybe Poland and Switzerland. and then, after July 13, after Spain, they'll probably add some dates in Italy( I think they'll have more than one). and they'll add more UK dates between London June1 and germay June 8.

what do you think??

I agree on that. Though I think (and hope) they do a normal concert in Spain before they go to Italy (it's a big country to play just a festival in the north). But there's space for plenty of shows between July 13th and 28th (rumoured Lucca show), what do you think they'll do there? The UK & Ireland should be covered before Germany (they could do 3 shows after London), and they could do central and eastern Europe (Switzerland, Poland...) between Germany (June 9th) and Pinkpop (16th), another 3 shows there. So there's a big gap between July 13th and 28th, I wonder where they'll go. I doubt they do Greece, but it's still possible (I wouldn't have guessed Serbia in a million years).
