lizziebix Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 WHO SAW ME WHO SAW ME WHO SAW ME Saw you a couple of times! Woo Hoo! Also, regarding his voice - anyone else think it was because of the gum he was chewing/stashing in his cheek while singing?
Homero Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Saw you a couple of times! Woo Hoo! Also, regarding his voice - anyone else think it was because of the gum he was chewing/stashing in his cheek while singing? he had a gum? haha
lizziebix Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 he had a gum? haha In one of the early promos before they played, he was standing there chewing away. And then, to me, it looked like he gulped or moved it around his mouth while singing. OMG, I can't believe I'm actually analizing Billie's mouth while singing!
Lauren Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Billie had gum in his mouth when they entered at 5:30. Billie had gum in his mouth when he came out to do the meet and greet at 8:00. Billie had gum in his mouth during the whole performance which ended at 9:00. Looks like someone has a gum addiction.

But wonder if this time it was to keep his throat moistened for singing. Or maybe he always does it for that reason.
The Disappearing Boy Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Really liked the sound quality of this. But I'm not sure if Billie's voice was brilliant or terrible, but it was different.
lizziebix Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 I really think they keep doing Oh Love (and why it was the first video) is because it's the cleanest for Puritan American TV. Which actually makes me sad about my country's attitude.

TinaGD Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 i'm pretty sure he threw his gum away just a moment before oh love started. cause i wanted to know if he's going to sing with his gum or not so I was looking closely.

Hmmm, I really thought I saw it in his mouth. (geez what an old creeper I've become!)
Femme Gauche Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Hmmm, I really thought I saw it in his mouth. (geez what an old creeper I've become!) lmao I think he was just making weird movements with his mouth trying to get the notes out.
July21 Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 just watched oh love again, billie did throw it away. it's at about 0:56
BigNate Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 I think the gum may have fallen out of his mouth but then again he could have spit. over analyzing will stop now haha I have read before how Dave Grohl has said he likes to chew gum while he sings because it keeps saliva moving around and works his jaw so he can sing or scream better. Im sure more musicians do it, just not on a national show, but who cares right? I thought the sound was a bit off, but having worked with a sound crew a few times, playing outside is defintely tough to know how its going to sound. Inside you have the acoustics of the room, but outside it goes into the air and it sounds different. just my two cents
Lauren Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 I'm surprised he hasn't choked on it yet. haha. I don't like people singing with gum. It doesn't look so pretty.
Femme Gauche Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Screw what was in his mouth... more important is what was coming out of it. Erm... his singing, in case that wasn't clear.
whatserbmae Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Loved it, except the teasing of Nuclear Family ! So cute how Billie, Jason and Jeff have matching outfits Weird seeing them perform without a crowd! Billie keeps staring up at the sky and looks a bit awkward at times. Must have been a huge disappointment for the fans waiting since midnight to see them.
