That was an amusing read! Thanks very much for the scans. Looking forward to part two.

I thought it must've just been those twats booing too, but now I think it might've been another reason. Paul McCartney recently played Hey Jude at the Olympic ceremony and he got a load of bad press for not playing it very well and for always playing the same old songs, especially that one. Watching the videos of Shepherds Bush on youtube it was definitely more than just a couple of people booing, so I think it might've just been a jokey response from the crowd because of the Paul McCartney thing . If that was the case it's pretty funny and I wish Billie knew that was what caused it!

I always forget you were behind me haha sorry :)

I just had a quick look as well, there does seem to be a lot of people, more than i had thought. I never saw his part at the olympic ceremony, had to leave before the end, way to much beer with not enough bathrooms but looks like that was a blessing in disguise! :D

I wasn't at Shepherd's Bush, but that's certainly what I assumed when I read what Billie said. Personally, I've always thought it was an incredibly boring song, and McCartney really did make a shit job of it at the Olympics opening ceremony. This is what I posted about it on my livejournal at the time:

Finally, one of the things I’d been worried about was that we would have all sorts of embarrassing has-beens singing their so-called greatest hits because someone in charge didn’t realise what year we were in. Right up to the end I thought we’d managed to avoid that but unfortunately we then got an absolute stinker, which came close to ruining the whole thing for me. I fucking loathe that song, always have done, and OK he might be rich and famous and it must be heartbreaking but surely someone could tell him that sadly for him, he just can’t sing any more?

So, once I’ve posted this I’m going to listen to a bit of Green Day to stop that awful song going round and round my brain, then I’m off to bed. Tomorrow I’ll see if I can find some gymnastics to watch.
