Tripe Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 I really saw concern in Mike and Tre during the video, too - certainly an indication that it was more than "just a stomachache." I can't imagine that this performance would have been cancelled on a whim, and I suspect his early hospital check-out was probably due to not wanting to be very ill so far from home and perhaps being harassed by Italian media (as we saw in that horrible video). Totally understand the frustration and anger from those who planned months for the show. So sorry for all the Italian fans! I hope the band makes it back there soon and has a fantastic show for you all. I like very much that they shared as much info as they did with the fans and concertgoers. Green Day cancelled both Nashville and Dayton shows during the AI era in 2005, supposedly due to Billie's illness. But no one ever confirmed that for sure and we never knew anything. Take heart, though, Italy - when they came back to Dayton, last stop at the end of the US Tour, they blew it out and played a really special show...American Idiot front to back. Maybe you will get something similarly special when they do return.
Lindsay Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 So sad to hear about this, know you Italians were looking forward to a good show, totally understand all your frustration! Just remember though, Green Day loves their fans, it's obvious they're extremely upset they had to cancel their gig, I'm sure they're going to make up for it some how next summer.
X-Saint Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Remember when Neil Armstrong died and everyone warned Billie to watch out. They must have seen this coming. I hope he feels better soon.
DecanoLP Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Some replies here are hilarious. Calm the fuck down, he won't die and he'll be completely fine again in the next days.... No need to worry.
fiercecircus Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 I got $5 on gallstones. Shit hurts and will land you in the hospital. Anyways, theyre not pussies and work their asses off. Im surprised he doesnt get sick more often with the pace they move at.
Red Ranger Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 I was there. I was in the fucking first line. And I sincerely don't know what to say.. I'm shocked.. Because.. They knew that Billie Joe was hospitalized and they didn't tell us it 'till the last performance.. I'm very shocked. No more words.
wubbzy Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 He'll be fine. Partying too hard, obviously.
elisa Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Billie leaving the Hospital is a local press video...they are a lot nosy doing it....but we want know about his healt http://multimedia.qu...dia&media=28394 people can be so disgusting and disrespectful.
farley drexel hatcher Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 It's because he's a big international star falling Ill in their country so the local news are going overboard. It wouldn't happen in the US, I don't think.

They knew that Billie Joe was hospitalized and they didn't tell us it 'till the last performance.. I'm very shocked. No more words. That's one of the things that made me angry the most
elisa Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 It's because he's a big international star falling Ill in their country so the local news are going overboard. It wouldn't happen in the US, I don't think. i believe it would anyway. TMZ filmed mike and his son outside the hospital after his wife had a baby. they want to make money out of anything, no matter whose privacy they invade.
EmmaCharlatan&Saints Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 neil died and lance had cancer. how dare you say that! billie just has stomach pains. once again fans over react to something small Jesus chill. It was meant as silly little joke - people called armstrong seem to be having a tough time of it lately. No one is saying billie is dying Fuck's sake people, do you really think I am THAT dumb? I know he just felt sick and obviously couldn't not take care of his health, I want him to get well too, but try also to get in my shoes and think for a moment how you'd feel if you were me. If you have the courage to do that and then tell me you wouldn't be pissed off, you're a fucking liar. So please stop being hypocrites and let me share my experience about this. You didn't live it, you don't know how it feels. The end. We get it your annoyed i would be too but dont take it out on everyone else. Jesus you will get another chance to see them. Yeah Id be annoyed to but there are far worse things that could happen then a gig being cancelled The band was at the airport earlier. Here's a pic: https://fbcdn-sphoto...034255395_n.jpg (via Green Day Eulogy) Billie doesn't look good. Its a shitty mobile picture of course he doesnt look good. Dont freaking speculate. Hes probably just tired jeez. He is not dying people
billiejoephil Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 This should be enough of an incentive for Billie to finally quit smoking.
Brigister Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 We get it your annoyed i would be too but dont take it out on everyone else. Jesus you will get another chance to see them. Yeah Id be annoyed to but there are far worse things that could happen then a gig being cancelled I wasn't taking it out on everyone else, I was answering people bashing me for my first post in this thread in which I tried to share with people my feelings about this, which I think this thread is all about. This should be enough of an incentive for Billie to finally quit smoking. what does smoking (and smoking what?) have to do with this?
billiejoephil Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Nothing that we know of, but smoking increases the risk of getting illnesses in general, so he should maybe consider quitting this shit. Yes, I'm an avid non-smoker. E: I'm talking 'bout cigarettes, pot is okay for me

Alan86 Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Adrienne posted this on twitter a few hours back "thanks for all the love and well wishes. He is feeling better. " So he's ok, he probably just needed some rest.
Brigister Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Guys, I really want to apologize for being a whiney little bitch in the past few hours, I'm really sorry. I was just still in a really bad mood since I made those posts right after I got back from the "concert"... So yeah, sorry guys. I hope Billie is fine now and that he can perform the next concerts without any problems.
Benny. Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 I doubt they could swing it even if they were healthy. If they can they will. But they are playing the VMAs on thur, rehearsals on Wed, they need a day to travel. So it is what it is. But, another year. I can't believe, the 2nd time. and all the fans that yesterday offended Billie are assholes. That's all we real fans -who were there- have to say.
Hermione Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Adrienne posted this on twitter a few hours back "thanks for all the love and well wishes. He is feeling better. I hope Billie is fine now and that he can perform the next concerts without any problems. Don't feel bad, anyone would feel bitterly disappointed in your situation so it's understandable. I hope you'll be able to see them on the European tour next year (that goes for everyone who was gonna see this show too).
live freaky die freaky Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 waiting for this moment since 2003 now I want to kill everyone I'm going to wait another year (2003-2013, 10 years. Fuck)
Karol Oliveira Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Its a shitty mobile picture of course he doesnt look good. Dont freaking speculate. Hes probably just tired jeez. He is not dying people When I thought this picture was posted yesterday, I mentioned that he didn't look well because there were some people who thought just because he discharged himself from the hospital, he was feeling great already and the gig could have happened. I put the pic without the original context and I speculated a little bit, yes. And I said I'm sorry already earlier in the topic. I know he's not dying!
Micky Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 aaah just got back from Bologna. I cannot deny eli and I and the other girls with us were utterly shocked when the announcement was made. At first it felt like a joke, because, you know, their last performance in an italian festival had been cancelled, too; but then we noticed how freaking pissed off the guy speaking was haha I seriously couldn't get angry with Billie, not even if the announcement had come one minute before Green Day were supposed to start playing. I was just concerned about Billie's health. To be honest, I love him even more now (I didn't think it was possible); from what we heard there, he really wanted to play and not listen to the doctors. I can totally see him all upset in a hospital bed. Oh well, next year's going to be epic
Kitty Purry Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Poor billie I just heard it today. So they're going back to America right?
