Definitely sucks for the Italian fans, but you know they'd only cancel the show as a last resort. Mike and Tre looked so disappointed.

I'm really sorry for all the Italian fans who were going to see them live tonight. Italy and Green Day shows don't seem to get along well, you guys seems to have bad luck when it comes to this... but hey, who knows, maybe it'll pay off when they next go to play Italy and suddenly decide to play all of their albums, from front to back, as a way pay back to the Italian fans for all the shows cancelled

This. My heart always goes out to people who had to travel to go to a show, but for one reason or the other didn't get to see their expected show. I know the feeling. I hope you all have better luck next time.

Oh dear, that's such a shame. The fans will be devastated but I suppose the most important thing is that Billie gets better as soon as possible. I'm sure that if there had been any way he could have done the show, he would have and if he had gone ahead and done the show, he could have made himself even worse. Maybe they will put on an extra date over there next summer or something like that.

People get sick all the time, Billie Joe is a person, therefore he can get sick, deal with it. I feel sorry for people who went to see him at that show, that's just bad luck I guess. Eventually the short straw has to be drawn, but, I hope Billie Joe the best for recovery, since he still has many years left in him.

Is not the first time that BJ gets sick in the middle of the tour. I think in all the efforts that make the fans to see Green Day than Billie himself (travel, tickets, hotels, is quite stressful). I know that he will recover, is not the big deal. As human, BJ can get sick too.

From what we've been given to understand Billie doesn't have a stomach cancer, bust just some stomach aches, EVERYONE gets stomach aches every so often, as a matter of fact I've been dealing with one all day, do you feel worse for me than for all the fans who had been planning to go to this show since march? people who got very excited, some that maybe even counted the days left before the show? or even worse, people who already got let down in Venice and now in Bologna too? I don't, you probably don't either, and as cool and as talented as Billie Joe is, at the end of the day he's just a person, like everyone else who gets stomach aches.

So until we get some news that point to something serious, like Billie needing surgery or a long term treatment, I don't see anything wrong with feeling worse for the fans, or equally as sorry for them as for Billie.
