LeatherNeck Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 According to Billie's brother, Billie had food poisoning and was dehydrated, but is now doing good. So panic over, people XD Glad to read that.
Micky Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 I was just saying on twitter how many false and stupid things you can hear in these circumstances: when I was in Bologna, the first news we got was that Billie had drunk 7 litres of iced beer the night before the show, when he was actually dehydrated .-.
Tubbie Head Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Just saw that =) Food poisoning reaaaallly sucks. But there's nothing to worry about now

Bullshits,The Kooks have put some poison in his glass of water, that's why they didn't play too, they are in prison now,as it should be. True story, bro' :|
EmmaCharlatan&Saints Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 A local radio station just mentioned this. It was something like "green day have had to cancel a concert in italy due to the frontman billie joe armstrong being hospitalised. The band won't say what's wrong with him" Kinda weird hearing it on an Irish station, I also kinda got the impression they were being a bit snidy about it when they said "the band won't say what's wrong with him" Dude what station was this on? 2fm?
Breath. Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Actually I don't understand pretty much the connection between his voice and his stomach ache :/
NoVaCaInE! Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Dude what station was this on? 2fm? Nope it was beat 102 103, a south east one
.Holly Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Yeah food poisoning can be pretty debilitating for a few days, I'm not surprised he couldn't play! I really feel for all the folks that had booked tickets and been getting excited about this for ages, I would be devastated in that situation. Also, I don't think it's unreasonable to feel pissed off about it. I don't mean pissed off at the band, but pissed off that this had to happen on your show. I'm sure they will do something extra special for Italy in the 2013 tour
Karol Oliveira Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Actually I don't understand pretty much the connection between his voice and his stomach ache :/ [speculation] He faked he had lost his voice to not talk to the douchebag paparazzi. Or he damaged his throat because he was throwing up so much. I believe it's the first.
desertrose Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 I saw this guys thoughts on Billie Joe and his backsatge experience with them and their Medical chest. And it's gotta be something reasonably serious. A couple of years ago, I was the backstage guest of Green Day and I chanced upon their medical chest. This was a refrigerator-sized road case filled with first aid supplies--totally legit supplies, I might add. I'd never see such stuff. Bandages, splints, vitamins, decongestants, antihistamines, painkillers, herbal teas, gargles, lineament--all kinds of things that could be administered/applied/attached backstage so the show could go on. And this was industrial-strength stuff--not necessarily the kind of stuff you get at the corner drug store. I didn't see any throat sprays, but it was a big chest. Bottom line is that if Billie was rushed to the hospital, it was for something more profound than a cold/sore throat. http://www.alancross...-armstrong.html
Brigister Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Adrienne just tweeted this: http://instagram.com/p/PKvPMUF98M/ I felt bad for raging about the concert being cancelled after seeing that Poor Billie D:

I'm not surprised to read that though. This relates to what bothered me most about the rumors and the doubts - this band has never given anyone any reason to doubt that unless they are truly physically or mentally unable to perform, the show will go on. My pants get in a twist when people with integrity are libeled/slandered. Ugh.

I don`t think he is that much of a drama queen! stoopid man saying things like that!
solongfromthestars Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 I still remember sitting in Konstanz and reading this, and feeling so sad for the Italian fans. I'm honestly so sorry for you that this is the second time a show has been cancelled there. Don't let anyone make you feel bad for overreacting - of course we all care about Billie's health more than whether he plays the show or not, but fuck's sake, of course you're going to overreact. You must have been devastated, I can't imagine how I'd have felt if that had happened after I'd stood at Rock am See all day. If the people complaining had been in your situation I'm sure they'd be speaking differently. Just really wanted to say that, because it made me sad when I saw people actually bitching at the disappointed fans. Still, I'm sure Green Day really will make it up to you... and maybe it'll be worth it in the end! And of course I really hope Billie is doing okay and that he recovers soon.
