Hermione Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Oh yes you're right As always But good news, there's no eyeliner on him in this one. At least not any we can see anyway I think Kill The DJ might actually be my favourite song so far, and this video is just making me like it even more. Can't stop watching it!
Sixtrix Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 hairy nose, mr armstrong Gotta love HD But good news, there's no eyeliner on him in this one. At least not any we can see anyway I think Kill The DJ might actually be my favourite song so far, and this video is just making me like it even more. Can't stop watching it! I must say, the more I watch it the more I start to like it. I guess it is not such a bad video as I first thought it was
whatsername Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 My thoughts remain the same as the other day. It's a good video and the highlight for me is the guys walking through the club unimpressed. Watch it a few times today haha
sampy Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Well this uncut version of the video made more sense than the other one which was leaked on Sunday. I still prefer Oh Love. But I like this version way more than the first one! Edit: Okay I don't know which one I like more! I like both First Green Day with hot chicks and tits and now catfight, what's next; video of the Suicide Girls playing truth or dare with the band? That's okay for me!
Gwen Stacy Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 I really liked it! I thought it was miles better than Oh Love. The only bad thing I could say is that I was waiting the whole time for someone to actually shoot and kill the DJ. Maybe that says something about violence in culture as to where we're all disappointed when someone doesn't die, but I felt like the video was leading up to that Their disdained/bored faces reflect how I feel after a night out listening to the same "popular" songs over and over again. THIS. This a million times over.
Alan86 Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 what's next; video of the Suicide Girls playing truth or dare with the band? You may have just described a possible video for Makeout Party
Heather. Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Wait, Jason's even in this? I've watched it 3 times and never noticed him Edit: Ah, there he is! *waves to tiny red figure in the distance*
sampy Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 You may have just described a possible video for Makeout Party Haha I really hope so! Maybe the thing with Jason is that Bayer wants to play something like Where's Waldo with Green Day fans. "Where's Jason?" And then you need to spot him in the video.
Samantha Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 It's obviously a thrown together concept that didn't have much of a thought process but the song is catchy as fuck and the video matches the dance-y vibe so I'm not sure what y'all were expecting. I'm pretty satisfied with the final product and Michaels hair
Sarcasm Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 I liked it A LOT more once I got to see the HD version and I could see what was going on at the club. x)
Femme Gauche Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Yeah, the HD version - and the fact that it is uncensored - are much better.
Annie, get your gun Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 When they're walking through the club, their faces remind me of that scene from Mean Girls, when the plastics are walking on the hall telling everybody "move, move, move"
Iop Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Oh wow...well, it's better than the "Oh Love"-video. I don't know if it was mentioned before but did you see that the video cut from the dessert scene to the "club"-scene when Billie sang "we are the vultures, the dirtiest kind". And the first thing you see are the party people. I like that. The video made me re-think my whole concept of the song actually.
Burnout98 Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 I really like it, but it's not a stand out for me. I found the intro with the bikes a bit long.
Gwen Stacy Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Rolling Stone posted about it. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/videos/green-day-has-bloody-fun-in-kill-the-dj-20120904
Femme Gauche Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 The performance bits are (as always, and then some) epic and awesome <3.
Guest Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 To me the video feels like, the start, they're "riding in style" to the party, then they walk in like bosses, and then party gets wild. And as for the party, I think they're making fun of the current club/dubstep scene.
Bam13 Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Liked this one a lot better than Oh Love. And seeing the raver crowd beat each other up is always worth a laugh for me. But that may just be me....
ChelseaDagger Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 To me the video feels like, the start, they're "riding in style" to the party, then they walk in like bosses, and then party gets wild. And as for the party, I think they're making fun of the current club/dubstep scene. it's cleary a long drive to the party....
Insomniac1984 Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 This video in HD/Full HD or Standard definition is lame for me. I expected something more.
Doris The Spider Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 When I first heard the preview for the song I wasn't sure if I liked it. After hearing the whole thing I don't hate it. But I don't love it either. The beginning of the music video when they were on the motorcycles was cool though!
justcause Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 It's kind of arse, really. Y'know, with the videos for American Idiot and Boulevard and Holiday, there was this thing that Bayer was really connected to the songs and he got them, so he was able to make great statements with them, about the songs and about Green Day. His video for Idiot meshed the energy of Green Day with the message of the song, Boulevard was moody and passionate, Holiday was this fucking great Looney-Tunes piece of black comedy - he was on-song, full-on communicating the band and the message. Here, it feels like he doesn't fucking get it, and it comes across as comical in the wrong way. I like the Oh Love video better - it has some kind of quality and presence, and more of a clarity in what it's trying to represent. Still and all, it's way interesting to see someone's take on these songs, and I look forward to what other directors are gonna bring to the next ones.
Brother Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 I am happy that after listening to this song a few times it sounds much, much better. My first listen of this song did not go well for me.
